Character Name: {...} (the character as of yet has no definite name, and just goes by whatever Hanna feels like calling him at the moment/Mr. Zombie/ Zombie-guy/ whatever)
Series: Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name
Timeline: After his talk with Hanna in his bedroom
Background: Webcomic link! || Link to his profile (he's the first one)!

All we really know about {...} is that he died ten years ago and doesn't remember anything of his previous life save for his murder -looks like he was stabbed to death- and the fact that the paper crane is significant to him. ...and that's about all he knows, too.

So after ten years of hanging out in graveyards he uses Hanna's business card to find him (though he doesn't remember where he got the card). He asks Hanna if he's hiring because hey, he's got nothing else to do and nowhere else to go. Hanna accepts with great gusto, and together they go on a magical journey of rad and awesome. Namely, Hanna gets everyone into deep shit right off the bat and {...} is cool with this.

First they check out Conrad's apartment, and Hanna screws things up and gets him turned into a vampire. {...} has a cool fight with a vampire chick but gets his arm ripped off. Next they head to Worth's, where Hanna does a few more strange things and Conrad comes to accept that he's changed for life.

The next time they head out, Hanna gets a letter for a job and they head to a theatre to investigate. {...} tries to protect Hanna from getting wiped out but fails, and Hanna collapses. {...} takes him to Worth's and, much to his surprise, is asked by the good doctor to keep an eye out for him, which he is totally cool with doing. They had back to the theatre and encounter Veser, who tells them the identity of the ghost. They find his body, Hanna runs off and hands Veser to {...} to look after and this irritates him just a tad but he brushes it off.

Then {...} gets possessed by Lee's ghost and discovers a couple things about himself until Hanna gets him back out. Onward to investigate Lee's death! But first Hanna gets some sleep and instead of sleeping he chats a bit with {...}, and then {...} puts down his book and discovers that he's on the Elegante. FUN.

Personality: He's very dry and very blunt, but also very honest. He doesn't claim any sentimental attachments to his previous life and states that he's done with agonizing over things passed, though he does seem a little bit guilty for forgetting about his previous life in case there was someone who cared about him. He seems to be very soft-spoken and polite the vast majority of the time, and comes off as extremely professional and even sort of classy (or at least, moreso than Hanna does, despite being the self-proclaimed sidekick). While he may appear very deadpan and emotionless on the surface, he does feel quite a few things and has no problems expressing it if he feels the urge to do so. It's more like he's muted than he is empty.

He takes a lot of things at face value, and doesn't let his cool escape him...ever. That doesn't mean he won't exclaim if he's worried or surprised, but you will almost never see {...} lose his temper. He's extremely thoughtful and does a lot of internal monologuing, but more often than not he'll be silent and keep things to himself unless prompted to speak aloud. That doesn't mean he's secretive, just that he doesn't see the need to broadcast his thoughts unless someone wants to hear them.

All in all {...} is a really nice guy who comes off as extremely deadpan, and thus is very difficult to understand because nobody can really tell if he's being a sarcastic jerk or not. More often than not, he isn't. Occasionally he'll be sassy or witty when he needs to be or when faced with a situation where he can get away with it, but he has no inclination to be anything other than very blunt and...well, lineface. So he usually isn't.

Appearance: Well he's dead.

When he was alive (and when he's dead, for that matter) it looked like he was very tall, very thin and probably at least part Asian. It hasn't been confirmed whether or not if he is (and if he is, he's probably Asian-American since his English is great and seems to be free of accent) but his internal head thingies have him looking a bit like that.

He might have been quite handsome when alive (maybe even is a little bit handsome in death) but the green skin and glowing red eyes usually make people stare in confusion rather than attraction. He apparently doesn't smell like a rotting corpse, given that so far no characters have stated as such...in fact, Hanna seems to smell more like the dead than HE does.

Spoken / written languages: English

Abilities: Well, he's undead. I'm assuming that this means that he can still be KILLED and therefore is a slave to the system like anyone else on the ship, but this means that something like a severed arm is no big deal so long as he can get that bitch sewn back on. His eyes glow red? No real significant abilities here save with what comes from being dead. He doesn't eat brains, doesn't sleep, doesn't breathe and presumably doesn't smell like a rotting corpse since people are totally cool with being around him and don't really notice anything weird until they see his face.

Items: His clothes- AND HIS FEDORA, he wants it. B| And the book he was reading, which seems to be a self-help book on love? I can't tell what that title is.

Third Person Sample:

He was strongly reminded of that strange, detached dreamworld he'd entered when possessed by Lee...only he was still dead. The ship he was on was so large he could barely tell it was moving; usually ships bobbed or swayed, but this one was so massive it was impossible to tell. It was almost as if it glided over the water instead of sailed through it. And as far as he could see, none of the passengers were headless, as the people in his thoughts had been. Did that have any significance?

Well, maybe. But he wouldn't know if it did anyway.

He turned away from the window -the waves were a little unsettling anyway, just something about all that water- and examined the room. The dresser was empty; atop it sat complimentary plastic cups for water or whatever beverages he chose to take back to his room, he assumed. Towels and clean linen were stacked in the bathroom, and a keycard rested on the desk. He slipped it into his pocket before picking up the electronic device beside it. A phone?

"A nice one," he murmured as he turned it over in his hands. A weird one, too. A video phone that didn't even look like a video phone, and it looked like it operated on a network separate from AT&T or Sprint. Most likely one isolated to the ship, seeing as how his situation wasn't as unique as he'd previously thought. There were entries from other people on these things.

Well, there were a few things he could do. He could have a look around himself, he could bother the people on the network or he could panic in his room. He didn't really feel like doing the last option, and the second one was really only useful in an attempt to find Hanna, so that's what he did for that. That left having a look around. Maybe there was a member of the crew, or some kind of brochure or something he could have a look at to get a better idea of where he was. Hell, maybe this was the River Styx and he was actually on his way to the afterlife; who knew?

Hopefully, if that was the case, everything would work out back home. Poor Veser.

First Person Sample:

Begging your pardon.

If anyone has seen a man, red hair, glasses, somewhat eccentric, I'd appreciate it if you'd point me in his direction. Thank you.

[It just had to be a ship. Someone just does not like water.

So if anyone is traversing around the thankfully dry deck 9 Alexandria Library, they'll see a green man with glowing red eyes selecting books and...apparently straightening the ones already existing on the shelves. Looks like he's decided to play librarian.]

Preferred Quarters: No preferences! He'll more than likely just lurk around Hanna's or Conrad's rooms anyway.
