Busy month and foal on the way.

Taking a break from foalwatch. Sorry if my writing is choppy, I'm tired and it's been a busy 3 weeks or so so far. The cows escaped into the road, then into the pasture across the road when we tried to round them up. That pasture is huge, about a mile square, with multiple hills, dips, gullys, fallen timber and hollows. It took over a week to get them out. Even then they followed the road almost to the highway before a neighbor chased them back our way where we finally got them back in, and were promptly named Bonnie and Clyde. I am slowly rehabbing them to come to me for food and to follow me if I have a bucket. Hopefully I can get them to accept bribes of scritches soon.
The youngest cow, Bessie, is surprisingly smart and was the only one who stayed when the other two had escaped. She was tossing her food pellets through the fence to the ponies so she would have company while she ate.
I have also learned not to wear black around the bull, who is a black angus. He is visibly afraid of me and seems to consider me another bull when I wear that shirt.
Our foaling season is here and hopefully only two mares are going to foal this season. We are still trying to pen Blueberry up but she looks like it's another month or so for her so no super rush. Secret has bagged up several days ago, and had a bout of false labor that night so we've been on foalwatch with her intently since then.
Here's hoping it's both soon and healthy.
