I never thought it would actually happen, but today…I got mugged. So Shanahan, Chuck, and I were walking over the foot bridge on Morrissey Boulevard, as we do every day to get to the train station. On our way down the ramp we are stopped by three shady kids. As we walk by one of the kids looks at me and says. “Hey youz threez, come here.” Immediately after hearing that I thought ::absolutely no good can come from us stopping, so I continued on::. One of the kids grabbed Shanahan and Chuck’s bag. Chuck, being slightly smarter than Shanahan at that moment took off down the ramp. Shanahan who claims the kid had a knife, gave them $60. As this interaction was talking place I called 911. Let me tell you that I have no faith in 911. After being transferred by the initial operator for reasons unknown I spoke to another operator, who proceeded to hang up on me. Luckily Shanahan managed to get away unharmed after said offenders sprinted as fast as they could in untied Timberlands toward the T station. As we walk into the Star Market parking lot the store manager who we always see is like WTF is going on. Chuck proceeds to exclaim in gibberish “THE MAN, THE MAN!!” Needless to say the store manager had no idea what Chuck was saying until the three kids go running by to the train station. He proceeds to go into Star Market in an attempt to see if the security camera operator had caught them. However the camera operator was too busy making sure BC High students weren’t stealing from Star, so we got nothing. The fuzz never showed up, and the kids were long gone. Needless to say at least we didn’t get hurt. Except Shanahan, who hurt his back carrying $60 worth of penny’s to school this morning to change them in at Coin Star.
Oh! This is the best part! Three freshman who were walking about 3 minutes ahead of us were stopped by the same kids, yet being smarter kids, didn’t actually stop. Then they get to Star and act like nothing happened. They left the kids there to mug someone else. Stupid fucking freshman.
Oh yea and I got my license, so watch out
