Gimme Your Tots!

Two Thousand Six has started off with a bang! I spent the day with a wonderful woman who I cannot wait to see again. We spent the day together yesterday. We started a puzzle that we never did get around to finishing. It's a thousand pieces of shadow and tiny flowers; a pretty picture, but a very hard puzzle. We listened to a lot of music while we worked on it. We have very similar tastes in music, but there was a lot in her collection that I didn't know about, so I got to experience some great new music. About the time we got the puzzle border done we decided to put it on hold and start dinner (roasted chicken with carrots and noodles). We moved on to playing a game called Cosmic Wimpout, which is very similar to a game I already knew called 10,000. After that we ate dinner and and talked about life. It's amazing to me how many things we have in common. I'm sure there are a lot of people my age who share a lot of similar interests and experiences with me, but there are things we have in common that are just so odd. I keep finding myself being caught off guard and amazed when she says she likes or dislikes something or has had this or that experience and I think "Wow! I thought I was the only one who liked that or had that experience." She is SO cool! After that we watched a couple of movies; Napoleon Dynamite and Koyaanisqatsi. She hadn't seen the former, I hadn't seen the latter. Both were excellent and very much enjoyed. It didn't hurt that I was sitting next to her on the couch holding her hand. I didn't want the day to end, but eventually we both had to acknowledge the fact that we had to work the next day, so I went home. But not before I got to kiss her. Holding her hand was electric, but kissing her was a wonderful, magical moment and I really liked it.
