Well, neat. It seems in the Vampire LARP my little Necromancer has everything he needs. Sure, I wanted to hunt down that Giovanni bastard, but he's literally disappeared off the map. Even his allies can't find him, though the one who hasn't bothered looking I suspect of making him vanish. I don't think he's in the normal reality anymore. The good news is that I don't especially care, because I've got his whole library of Necromantic knowledge and can learn everything I need to achieve my own personal godhead (lack of the necessary XP notwithstanding).

On the other hand, my sectarian apostasy did hinge on the recovery of the Giovanni and certain relics he had stolen, so I'm effectively still in the thick of things. Of all the things I've taken from him, I doubt I have all the relics he had stolen, so in order to cement myself in the framework of the local setting, I'd basically have to go through the Cardinal himself. That's an odd proposition because it looks more and more as though he's dabbling in the occult to an uncomfortable extent. All of the known connections to him have been destroyed and everything connecting directly to them has also been destroyed. Any spirit who might know a great deal about the Giovanni seems to have been destroyed in the shadowlands, all of the Camarilla he had bartered with either killed by us or mysteriously vanished, plus there is a threat of impending doom by the local werewolves he had supposedly created a treaty with. It all points right at the Cardinal. I intend fully to point my powerful ally at the Cardinal in order to find his answers about the Giovanni, considering artifact trafficking has always been a part of their arrangement.

With only a couple of games left, I guess we players need only crack the big weird mystery, but my major goal is accomplished. Since there's very little likelihood of a continuation to this game, I'm not as excited about setting myself up for future storylines as I could be.

gamu!!!
