I am a geek, and you will all suffer my delusion of grandeur created from that aspect. No livejournal cut for you! Suffer, I say!

Ambrus, the Harbinger of Skulls necromancer, is a Greek-born gypsy. Nobody knows anything beyond the country of his origin, nor his reasons for inhabiting the Triad area of North Carolina. Ostensibly he hopes to help elevate the region, a recent playground of dark miracles, to the exalted status of such a pillar of Sabbat philosophy and culture as Montreal. This is a perfect display of Ambrus' numerous ambiguities. Though his interest and loyalty to his sect is focused through its ideals of freedom and wisdom, his true aims are best served by the remoteness of his chosen location and the leeway afforded to his bloodline within the Sabbat.

None know the extent of his research into the path of death and the soul; his goals are barely hinted at by the disgust he holds for all of humanity and the life that swims in their tainted blood. While all of his undertakings are justified as a means of progressing the goals of his sect, such as developing rituals to create nourishment in the absence of humanity, the long-term reasoning goes beyond anything to do with vampiric political structures, though the philosophy he follows plays a key role.

In essence, Ambrus has forgotten his mortality and embraced his existence as a corpse, but despises his vampiric reliance upon the blood he has known to be unclean since his human youth. In his mind, the death is the only purity in this world and he means to embody it more than any other. By learning to feed of ash as per the Cainite legends of old, by channeling the dead into affecting his natural blood-borne abilities and by increasing his abilities to interact with and sup upon the dead, Ambrus will have the potential to leave the filthy world teeming with life behind entirely.

Ambrus is of medium height, gaunt, with dry grey skin. He adorns himself in immaculate white robes and a plain expressionless white mask which covers the exposed facial portion of his skull, all tissue other than his veins and eyes (along with the muscle and skin that functionally serve them) has been removed and the remaining bone polished to an ivory white. He shows signs of obsessive compulsive disorder and hypochondria, though in actuality these afflictions are mere annoyances to him which properly portrayed advance his image of reservation and non-aggression among other Sabbat; thus far his eccentricities have already served him well in achieving stewardship over the sect's local treasures and communal haven for his much smaller pack of scholars.

Basically, with this character I'm trying to learn as much Necromancy as possible, especially the Vitreous Path which allows entropy effects and feeding from wraiths and deathly things. Also, because there's a dearth of expansive necromantic rituals in the source materials, I'm developing a great deal of my own under the notion that magic derivative of blood should by no means be of greater potential expansiveness than that derived from death. I'm working with the Tremere to convert the thaumaturgical Feast of Ashes into a ritual that creates ashes edible to vampires without removing the ability to drink blood. In the future I plan to create other rituals that allow one to absorb a wraith and increase attributes with its power, merge with a wraith and use its corpus to heal aggravated damage or other body altering effects like Vicissitude and (one of my favorites) create a temporary nihil in the physical realm which will bring out the spectres and allow them to be solid in any shadow or Obtenebration effect.

gamu!!!
