About two weeks ago, I installed SiteTracker into my Orvis In Oz blog. This is a web service that logs the info of a user when they look at my blog, like country / state / region, if they're a new ip or a previously seen one, referral links, and a couple other small things (nothing harmful and nothing you don't tell every single website you ever visit; don't worry). I looked through the stats today and found some really interesting stuff:
Cool! I never considered that someone in Athens could have been google image searching, come across one of my pictures of Graffiti, and clicked through to my blog (which is exactly what happened). How cool is that?
It's obvious that my biggest reading base would be in the States, but it surprises me that people here are reading my blog. I know one (Nicola) who said she was but I didn't know it was more than her (which it most certainly is). Interesting.
It appears that some of Elina's friends from Singapore have at least checked it out, plucking the url from my Facebook page. Also cool.
It appears the post on Urban Golf is the second hit under a google search for
urban golf melbourne I really can't place the illinois person. Maybe I'm just not remembering that someone from ADF moved there or something, but I really can't place them. Strange....
This is really interesting so far. I wonder how / where it will grow by the time it's done.
