So there's some weird thingy in my elbow, which might be a cyst or strange calcium buildup, but basically I cannot physically bend my arm at the elbow more than a few inches. A few days ago, the pain was so intense that I had to go to the ER. They took x-rays and gave me like 10 different theories of what could be going on. I won't find out until next Friday, when I go in to see the special orthopedics guy. The pain has diminished quite a bit though, and I don't need a sling anymore, and the flexibility seems to be improving each day. It's still super annoying though. Especially since I've got 2 final projects due next week which will probably add up to being about 40 pages total. I just finished a big paper today though, and as long as I just take it one thing at a time I should be ok.
I decided this past week that I'm going to try my hardest to make the remainder of Monday karaoke nights at the Pig. The days are dwindling, and I want to do as much karaoke damage as I can until we move at the end of July. This past Monday I started off with a little Proclaimers "I'm gonna be (500 miles)" which was a very hilarious romp. Then I switched to a little Def Leppard's "Let's Get Rocked" which didn't go so well because I forgot some of the lines, and unfortunately nobody in the place seemed to know it. It probably contains some of the cheesiest lines ever written though, such as
" I'm your average ordinary everyday dude...Drivin' with my baby to get her in the mood" and " All I wanna do is take a ride into the blue...Every time I want to love you I get stuck inside my room...Heaven knows I'm sick 'n' tired of dancin' with this broom" and " He said "Mow the lawn" - who me? "Walk the dog" - not my style, man..."Take out the trash" - no way..."Tidy your room" - c'mon get real...Sorry dad, gotta disappear Let's get the rock out of here!"
Then Brynne and I kicked it up another notch and did another rocking rendition of Roxette's "Joyride." Twas the first time in well over a month that I attended the good old Pig.
Last night, Megs, Landen, and I went to Aubree's to play 80's trivia night, where we guessed the beginnings of countless 80's songs, and ended up being victorious and winning a crapload of free "beer money" towards our tab. I think I have a new addiction...Today in between finishing up one of my papers, Megs and I finished up season 1 of Strangers With Candy, which I'm pretty sure is one of the most hilarious shows ever to exist in the history of the universe. Can't wait for the movie this summer...
