Sorry Sir, This Jamba Juice Is Out Of The Ego-Boost

So I got kicked out of my sociology class today because my notebook was closed. Apparently if you close your notebook or pack up 5 minutes before class is over, you associate with the Nazi party. I'm sorry, I was under the impression that we are all adults here, and each of us CHOOSE what we want to write down; I fully understand the whole "go to class on your own volition" thing, so I assumed that same mantra went toward note taking as well. Maybe I had my notebook closed 25 minutes prior to class being over. But then again I've only been in school for 18 years of my life (although only 1/3 of those involved note-taking), so I obviously don't know my own learning style. I suppose I can understand why the professor (note I didn't say MY, because I would rather not claim him) would get angry about packing up early, but if I choose to close my notebook because I am personally done taking notes and would rather just sit back and listen to what he has to say, then that is my own decision and I should not be reprimanded or lose attendance points (OH YES, another one of those ADULT things) for my choice.

I'm so over paying for this type of shit.

And I plan on discussing directly with the professor about his 'bad-ass' style of kicking kids out of his class for closing a note-book. We'll see how that goes, but I feel pretty confident that I did nothing wrong.
