BACKGROUND:
Blackarachnia was originally the Autobot named Elita-1. During a freak accident on a planet while searching for Energon cubes she was attacked by alien spiders and caught up in an explosion. She was left behind by Optimus Prime and Sentinel believing she had died. However it turned out she had been infected with the spiders’ venom and had used her mimicking ability to neutralize the poison. Unfortunately instead of neutralizing the poison it mutated her superstructer into a new body. She was basically fused with the spider DNA causing her to have a now half inorganic and half organic body.
Because of what had happened Elita grew spiteful of Optimus and joined the Decepticons, renaming herself Blackarachinia. Due to her now half organic body she is as emotional as any organic, can be easily injured and must breath oxygen to live.
Among the Nemesis Crew, Blackarachnia abandoned ship to evade an explosion that took out most of the Nemesis. She arrived on Earth around the time of the Autobots first Halloween. She attacked Bumblebee and Bulkhead, poisoning them and kidnapping Sari. She tried to use the Allspark Key that Sari was keeper of in order to rid herself of her organic parts. The result however drained everything organic of its lifeforce, nearly killing her as well. Optimus removed the key and offered to help her out but she poisoned him and ran away.
Before Megatron’s arrival she returned to kidnap Sari yet again to gain the Key. Sari deceived her into taking her to the Allspark in which Blackarachnia wandered in circles on the ice above the ship. When the ship surfaced she clung to it and only ended up being knocked from the sky by the Autobot’s ship.
However she survived the fall and landed on Dinobot Island where the Dinobots took care of her. The Dinobots became enamored with her making it easier for her to trick them into doing as she wanted. She got them to break out Meltdown so that she could use him to return her to her fully inorganic shell. She poisoned Bumblebee and Prowl with an extra large dose of her poison to get Optimus to help out as well. She promised to hand over antivenom if Optimus went along with Grimlock to get a modifier that Meltdown needed to proceed with the procedure. However Meltdown betrayed her and tried to rid Blackarachnia of her inorganic parts, wanting to turn her into some organic monster.
Optimus stopped the experiment and released Blackarachnia. She used Grimlock’s “love” for her to escape, leaving the antivenom behind as promised.
Some time after she began to experiment with Transwarp energy to try and purge herself of her organic half. She decided that she needed a better test subject, rather than making one of her own. So when she finds out about Wasp(inator) being in the city she send Swoop in to snag him before any of the Autobots can get their servos on him.
Once back in her lab she acts like she understands Wasp and pretends to be his friend. She offers him the power to get back at the Autobots then shoves him into the chamber of the machine she's created before he can change his mind. While he's in the machine Sentinel enters the lab. Much to his surprise, and horror, he finds out who Blackarachnia is. He still proclaims that Elita is dead and the monster that's taken her place is an abomination (this is after he knocked her helmet off, revealing what she really looks like under it). So Blackarachnia attacks him and while they fight the machine overloads releasing an unstable Waspinator from it's chamber.
About this time Optimus shows up and Blackarachnia explains what she's done then sicks Waspinator on the Autobots. Although Waspinator has other plans. He takes off down the hall after Bumblebee, looking to settle a score. It's about then that it becomes clear that Waspinator's energy is now unstable and that he could blow at any moment. So in order to escape, or perhaps to save her old friends, Blackarachnia uses her webbing to create a protective cocoon around herself and Waspinator. The resulting explosion destroys much of Dinobot Island but thanks to Blackarachnia's webbing the Autobots, and possibly the whole city, is saved.
Later Blackarachnia awakens in a jungle area with four very familiar creatures staring at her (a rhino, gorilla, cheetah and a rat). Meanwhile Waspinator pulls himself back together, claiming he has plans.
And that's Blackarachnia's last appearance in the final season.
According to the AllSpark Almanac (part 1) Blackarachnia is the reason for Blitzwing's insanity. During the Great War she rebuilt him as a triplechanger (Transformers with three alt modes and three personalities to match them).
PERSONALITY:
Depending on who she’s talking to she can either be seductive and manipulative or cold and sarcastic.
She hates what she has become and is her own worst enemy because of that. Nearly killing herself (unintentionally) because of it. She will stop at nothing to achieve her goal of being normal again.
Because she is convinced that Optimus Prime left her behind on purpose she has a hard time trusting anyone. She’s afraid they’ll turn on her and leave her to die just as she believes her friends did to her so long ago. Which so far in her experience it has only been proven true (e.g. Meltdown trying to make her fully organic instead of fully inorganic). While she is rather smart she is so blinded by her hatred and goals that she only ends up making herself look stupid in the end.
While her shell might have changed her spark is still the same. Deep down she’s still the same Autobot she always was and there are times this shows through but it is very rare due to her hatred for what she’s become. She’s convinced that as long as she is partially organic she can never be the same. Her time within the city has changed her a bit. She still holds grudges and doesn't trust others easily. And she can still be selfish about her own needs and goals but she's a little more willing to help others. Her path as a villain has seemed to loop back around to the path of a hero. Although she tries hard to stay neutral to all problems she will do what she thinks is right if she has to.
CLASS: Hero turned Villain - but being the type she is she would play both sides of the field so long as it benefits her. Although her growth within the City has set her back on the path toward being a hero.

POWER:
Can adsorb the abilities of others for a short period of time. She can climb surfaces like a spider and shoot webbing to swing from buildings or capture prey. She can also deliver a paralytic venom via her fangs (since she no longer has the back stingers).
The transporter has enhanced her downloading ability so that she can download from one person at a time and the downloaded abilities last until the next time she downloads from someone else.
Also due to her corrupted DNA the transporter has made some altercations to her appearance. She now has four eyes, the extra pair are nearly invisible while closed unfortunately her eye sight suffers when only one pair of eyes are being used. She also has two sharp blades on each arm (similar to those in her robot mode) that are retractable. As well as purple discoloration that runs up her back, neck and around onto her cheeks. There is also this same pattern of discoloration around the area on her arms where the blades come from.
