~Gatlinburg is constantly changing, but essentially the same

~Judging forensics really calls into question all the importance you placed on it as a competitor, once you realize how subjective it all is.

~I am as eager of a judge as the tournament can get. Judged rounds of DI, HI, and Storytelling, Quarter Finals of Poetry, Semi Finals of POI, and Finals of DI, all with a smile on my face.
~Bubba Gump Shrimp makes up in kitsch what it lacks in vegetarian offerings.
~Gatlinburg in the rain is a sad sight.
~The Flying Horse Grill in Pigeon Forge is not to be missed-- good food, great service, and AN INDOOR CAROUSEL.
~walking up and down Gatlinburg hills three times a day leads to much soreness at the end of the trip
