Crappy leaving of Israel.

I miscalculated how much time i would need to pack and stuff, so the Nesher sheirut guy called me to say they were 5 minutes away and i had barely started. It didn't help that he was almost half an hour early. So then i had to run around like a crazy person, packing, getting dressed, and sweating all over everything ( Read more... )

Your story sounds a bit like mine - only my flights landed where they were supposed to - just an hour or two later.

My luggage, on the other hand...

It seems to have missed its connecting flight.

But I am home, and the luggage will follow.

artificial languages...why do I know so many people into artificial languages? Esperanto, Lojban, Klingon, Quenya, etc.

Have you ever run into seqram? His latest thing is Samaritan scripts. He recently published (via Lulu) a side-by-side comparison of the Torah and the Samaritan Torah. We know each other from high school. His brother & I went to Ramaz & Princeton together.

When mamadeb and I were in Tel Aviv in 1998, we stayed at the Center Hotel just off Dizengoff Square, on Rechov Zamenhof.

I definitely remember seeing his name around, but if i ever interacted with him online it was a long time ago, so i'm not sure. I have seen links to his comparative Torah, though!
