Woo, short week.
There is an ever-diminishing number of people who read the ell-jays, but this came up somehow at work and it's something that has annoyed me, and probably been commented on on various fan forums and other crap in the Harry Potter universe.
So, normal people can't see magical things - they'd walk right past Hogwarts, can't see unicorns or Dobby or anything else like that. But can magical things interact with non-magical things? Could a hoard of angry dragons or giants happily wipe out a city (and don't say 'no the wizards would stop them' because it never really seems like the wizards care at all about muggles..) because there wouldn't be anything that they could do to stop them. Death Eaters could kill you now and no one would know.
Anyhow, rant aside, long weekend count-down. Not that I have any more time off than usual (free sunday, woo) - going to Mich's cottage tonight, back in the a.m. tomorrow to go to Book City for 10:30, then work Saturday morning, then back to the cottage that night.
Also back in to playing Dwarf Fortress, which is a colossal waste of time, but I think I'm almost getting the hang of it. Again. Until they all die spectacularly.
