By the time the Snow Queen has charmed children into her carriage, their hearts will have grown icy and cold. She kisses them twice, to numb them to the cold, and to make them forget all about their former lives. A third kiss can kill them.

It is a curious tale. She takes people away to keep her company, and this General seems to send them to their death. Fairytales are odd.
