Camp Anawana, we hold you in our heart...
Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I'm currently at my parents' house anxiously awaiting the festivities to begin. In the spirit of this holiday, I would like to give thanks for an old TV show from the golden days of Nickelodeon....a show better than, dare I say, Hey Dude. This show is Salute Your Shorts. (let it first be said that the all-time best show is Pete & Pete, however, I shall leave this praise to Leith because he's already got it all planned out)
But anyway, the hijinks initiated by Bobby Butnick, Donkey Lips, Sponge, and the girls (the hippie, the tom-boy, and the spoiled princess)who are not quite as enthralling put that dude ranch to shame. Do you remember when Michael got chickenpox and had to leave camp? I was almost to tears; how could the show possibly recover from losing one of the main character? ---But then, Pinsky showed up. He was the coolest kid at camp...Bobby was hating it, but the ladies sure weren't. After many futile attempts by the boys to make Pinsky look "uncool", they finally gave up and accepted how much Pinsky ruled. And so should you.
Oh boy...time for turkey...we'll continue this at a later date.
