Forest Gump the Novel

After the first half of the book, which is similar to the popular movie, the novel gets crazy.

Gump crash lands a NASA space pod in New Guinea where he is held prisoner by cannibals and head-hunters. Eventually, Gump dressed as the Monster from the Blue Loagon, a naked Raquel Welch, and a male orang-utan named Sue are arrested - thus ending Gump's movie career. So he enters the shrimp business, before running for the US senate where his idiocy pays dividends.

Really, I'm not making this up. I rate the book 3/5 for its sheer acid trip effect. Just don’t start reading the novel expecting a coherent plot and brilliant pacing.
