Seth is...even harder to explain without going into the whole of canon because SHE IS RELEVANT TO A HUGE CHUNK OF ITS HISTORY.

She was a test tube baby made on a future, technologically advanced Earth. She and her fellow tube clones (Lilith, Abel and Cain) were known as the Night Lord family. They headed an expedition of scientifically-enhanced humans to colonize Mars and discovered magical nanomachines on it that gave people superhuman abilities and ~300-year lifespans. These abilities and the nanomachines themselves caused huge wars on Earth; when one of the Mars folks was killed by an Earthman, the Night Lords started ANOTHER genocidal war that finished wiping out most human life on the planet. The nanomachines in the Mars folks reacted with Earth's atmosphere and made them vulnerable to the sun and to silver, like mythical vampires.

Regular Earth folk became known as Terran; the Mars 'vampires' became known as Methuselah. Seth and her siblings got a superior breed of nanomachine known as Crusnik: they had none of the vampiric weaknesses, and they were much stronger in every way as well as being pretty much immortal. Crusnik's natural food is Methuselah blood; this will be relevant later.

FAMILY DRAMA HAPPENED. Lilith betrayed the other Night Lords to fight with the Terran! Cain killed Lilith. Abel and Seth killed Cain. Abel went to go hide in Lilith's tomb for like 900 years and left Seth all alone with the remaining Methuselah. SOMEHOW she rallied them and withdrew. They struck an uneasy truce with the Terran and formed their own nation, the New Human Empire. At some point Seth was crowned its Empress, Augusta Vradica; at a later point, she began to obscure her face and use voice filters to conceal her real identity. She considers all Methuselah her çhildren.'

She shifted from hating Terran to wanting to make peace and coexist with them. UNFORTUNATELY because she forged the Empire while she was young and inexperienced, it's a fragile system: peace would only last as long as the Empress existed. And at the time canon focuses on the Empire, Terran-hating dissenters want to kill the Empress. So Seth uses a body-double to deceive them and investigates on the street! She is savvy, snarky, tops everyone, introduces herself as 'just a pretty girl passing through,' and does everything from selling great tea to thwarting her assassination attempt and finally revealing herself.

Seth is the Night Lord with the fewest personal issues! But she is also slowly going crazy because she has spent 900 years with a tiny, constantly-gnawing voice in her head telling her to eat all the people she considers her children. And she is old and tired but fears for the downfall of her Empire if she dies.

tl;dr Seth is Mithos if Mithos were a supervampire and well-adjusted enough to cope with his trauma.

OKAY FINE, I'LL READ THEM IF YOU SEND THEM TO ME. B-But wouldn't that be expensive for you?

Shinobu: doesn't have a preferred food, but he doesn't like sweet things a lot.
Spock: . . . He likes WEIRD VULCAN FOOD.
Flynn: Until I get actual canon for this: Japanese stew and soup noodles.
Annie: She can't eat, but when she was alive she loved pie, cakes and meat, and I'm sticking to it.
Himeno: She isn't picky about food and she could eat anything mostly due to the fact she was poor for a long time.
Samwise: EVERYTHING except raw food. He has a preference for hobbit food and human food makes him go all :| but he'd eat it and even admit some of it is actually nice!

Do you have any app plans?

I will check the prices, but it shouldn't be super expensive since the parcel won't be huge or heavy. I think. WE'LL SEE.

...I do not! Anise was my last planned app and I'd been holding off on her for months and months. I have a character in mind for when counselors roll around again, but I do not have a strong desire to add to my lineup. My plan is actually to drop a certain character I've burned out on by next month, and focus on building the relationships of the others.

Give me some headcanon for one of your characters. /o/

Don't worry if it is, really. Thank you so much for even considering it. ♥

- For Annie, Mitchell and George are like the brothers she never had! She can't find them attractive, but she's aware they're hot because . . . well, she's not blind. But she's not attracted to them and she thinks that kissing either of them would be gross.
- She thinks Mitchell and George share a bromance gay thing, but George is too straight to even notice. She likes teasing them when the time is right, too. Especially when they're acting like gay parents to her.
- When she was still alive, she convinced herself that her relationship with Owen was healthy and that Owen's abusive personality was just some sort of mistake. That he never meant to hurt her or abuse her. After she died, she forgot all about the abuse because it was linked to the circumstances of her death, but once she remembered everything? She finally realized she's been an idiot and that she deserved better. That much was obvious in the show, but it was interesting how she seemed to see her relationship with Owen as perfect when it reality it wasn't perfect at all until we learn the truth of her death.
- Sometimes Annie dreams about what would've happened if she was still alive, but she stops herself before naming her first child with a nameless man, because Owen was a bastard and maybe she would've ended up leaving him at some point, because it was too depressing.
- Since ghosts don't need to sleep, she reads books and watch reruns of old tv shows during the night. She has read Pride and Prejudice more times than she can remember.
- She would rather move on than remain in a world without Mitchell and George to talk to. Not only they're the only ones who can see her now, but they're her family.
- Why can't ghosts change their clothes? SHE WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE HER OUTFIT FROM TIME TO TIME. But then she's thankful that she didn't die naked.

Reverse. \o\

- Back in the day, Mithos was the party cook. Kratos and Yuan could make survival-camp type food, but it was nothing tasty, and Martel's concoctions were poisonous. He is largely self-taught but he is a KITCHEN WHIZ. Everything he makes is delicious.
- When he was young his powers were unusually strong even for an elf/half-elf and a lot of his spells went completely awry due to lack of control. It's a good thing his sister was a healer.
- He and the party got Cruxis Crystals because they were captured at some point in their journey and used for horrid military experiments. They got away but decided keeping the Crystals would do more hard than good.
- He hung out with the Summon Spirits as much as he possibly could! He really enjoyed their company, and they had genuine bonds and friendships and trust in each other pre-crazytime. He also had a bit of a crush on Celsius.
- When Martel died Mithos didn't actually PLAN to trap her soul in the Great Seed. He simply panicked and went SAVE HER SOUL, I DON'T CARE HOW YOU DO IT, JUST DO IT!!! and since that was the only possible way the Eternal Sword could see, that was what happened.
- While he was staying with the party and for the first couple of nights afterwards, he tried to sleep and nearly cried when he realized he couldn't.
- His favorite food is curry rice. He tells people he doesn't eat because 'it's unnecessary,' but the truth is he feels he can't have nice things because he's dead.
- When his mana became part of the Great Tree, his soul and personality stayed whole, but became dormant. As the Tree he's aware enough to sense macroscopic changes to the mana of the world, but that's all, and he's never going to wake up from that state. For all intents and purposes, Mithos as an individual person/personality will never be seen again.

How did Flynn cope with the memorydump from the mindmeld? Because. That was a huge crapload of awful stuff.

:'(

WELL, he managed to cope mostly due to pure tenacity and stubbornness to show Mithos his feelings were sincere? It didn't scare him and THERE WAS SO MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING AND JUST TOO MUCH EVERYTHING, but what Flynn managed to get from it, more than . . . all the awful things Mithos did, was Mithos' pain. Flynn thought that giving up and not facing anything that he showed him, would give Mithos reasons to keep thinking he can't understand. He was more focused on that than in anything else, so he managed to cope somewhat! It's not something he'd like to do again, because it was more than he thought it would. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS MAKES ANY SENSE, but I'm this close to falling asleep so. :x

PLAY WITH ME IS NOT A QUESTION BUT. Mm. Which character do you think about apping sometimes but you know you never will?

I meant 'more good than harm' in my previous comment derpity derp. :'( flynnnnn

I THINK ABOUT APPING MARTEL SOMETIMES because I do believe she has enough canon given in backstory/Tales of Fandom/other supplements! And she is sweet and derpy and very much my character type. My reason for not apping should be obvious though :'D.

I do have a journal for her, I've tagged around in dressing rooms/museboxes, and I have full apps written for her for a couple of different RPs that I ended up never joining. Someday I will find somewhere else to play her long-term!

Same question back at you, I am interested :O

ESTELLE. I think I had a solid voice for her and I enjoyed playing her a lot, but . . . I can't app her here for obvious reasons. I can't find a game where I can play her because most games require third person prose and I hate that with a passion.

There's another one but I might app them in the future so I don't want to say it, but this character still makes me go all "WHAT NO I CAN'T PLAY THEM THEY'RE TOO AWESOME," so.

WHAT'S THE STORY BEHIND THAT ICON.

...I forget. I think it was super late at night. Basically Jade drew Albert starfish and Abel rock and if we ever have to go on hiatus at the same time, that's what we'll turn them into. :'D

A videogame you think I should play!

Pfft, it just makes me laugh.

Radiata Stories! But I think you know that already. I think you will like it, but since it's not a popular game I'm not really sure.

Same question?

I ENJOYED THE LITTLE BIT OF IT I GOT TO PLAY just because...kicking everybody. I am five. But I am doubly intrigued now because uwaaah plot and dragons.

Tales of the Abyss is pretty delightful! Uhh...my game repertoire is limited. If you haven't played Suikoden before it has been one of my favorite game series since I was a kid. All the games are self-contained, though they take place in the same world and timeline! Each has fascinatingly complex characters and politics and plot since they are wartime games with HUGE casts.

- I and II are rather expensive/hard to come by nowadays, since they're PS1 titles that have long been out of print, but they're good (and there are probably ROMs)!
- III is kinda clunky in terms of gameplay/graphics, but it's my favorite for story and characters, and the manga adaptation is fantastic.
- IV suffers in comparison to the other games and they could have done a lot more with it (they were making IV and V at the same time), but a lot of the characters and plot elements are still really interesting despite that.
- V is the big-budget game--a lot more complicated to get through than the others, but I was just. Floored by how much had been put into it on all fronts. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL GAME/PLAYING EXPERIENCE.
