I'm trying something new. Pick a random place and hang out for a while.

I need some distraction. And some piece and quiet, but I didn't know the library was such a happening place.

Libraries frequently are. In any case, there is little else to do here, which does make the library a prime location for those who wish to increase their knowledge and for those who are simply bored.

And here I thought libraries were places nobody went to.

Ah, the mistaken belief of one who does not frequent libraries.

[borncaptain]

Well, we don't use paper anymore. Libraries are pretty rare.

[schattendiener]

Libraries exist to preserve knowledge. I assume there remains some way to access paper books, even if they are restricted?

[borncaptain]

There might be, but I don't think even I have clearance for that.

[schattendiener]

I see. In my world, it is the opposite. Physical print has returned, due to the exorbitant expense of housing and maintaining digital collections.

[shakes his head] We have lost so much, since Armageddon.

[borncaptain]

Well, it's only lost right? Just give it some time.

[schattendiener]

Perhaps another thousand years will bring us back to that point.

[borncaptain]

I wasn't thinking that high. You already know you lost something. If you have some idea, it's just a matter of working towards it.

It is never that simple, Mr. Kirk.

I'm not saying it is. But I'm also saying it's not that hard either.
