(no subject)
so here's the shizzy in case you were wondering:
in paris, i did stuff (church church church museum church church museum). i got a pair of sunglasses that doesnt look ridiculous on me so progress has clearly been made. i also got a pair of CLOAK PANTS (thats totally for you emily). anyways, people shat bricks during the world cup.'nough said.
provence is unbelievably beautiful, everything is 176287398 years old, the people are surprisingly hip in avignon. there's a theatre festival going on right now so me and summer thought it would be fun to see "tango neruda". lets just say there was a lot more neruda than there was tango and we were in the front row and not that i have any idea what the actor was saying but it seemed pretty intense. then me and summer found these crazy bohemian french rappers/accordian players doing an interpretation of one of my favorites, "kiss" by prince. good times. oh by the way, the food is changing my life. one of my meals consisted of duck foie gras with various accoutrement, rabbit and goat cheese pin wheels with basil oil sauce and sauteed tomatoes, and a five creme brulee assortment (lavender, pistachio, hazelnut, vanilla, and caramel). my three goals going into the trip were to get a reservation at el bulli, drive down winding roads abundant with leaves, and become a wino. I've accomplished two...try and guess which ones. my liver is gonna become such a "hater".
so the hotel im staying at in provence is really modern and cool and all but lets just say...the shower is very...open, and seeing as how every wall has a mirror, when one takes a shower anyone in the room, no matter where they are can see just about everything. basically me and summer are really getting to know each other. tres awk but when you have 146258769379 bug bites, other things take priority in your mind. i've been drinking benadryl itch cream. it's an acquired taste that i'm learning to love.
tomorrow i go to venezia.
