Is the future worth living for?
People always say you have the future to live for. Thats true, but is it a future worth living for? Today, sex, drugs and war is taking over the world. 50 years ago we were all conforming into the same thing. Men worked, women cleaned and cooked, and children played. Now, men still work, women work, clean and still cook. They all bust ass just to give their drugged up, pregnate children just a little hope to get food, clothing and a roof over their heads. Comparing today to 50 years ago, i think that people were actually happy 50 years ago.
Reading other journals, listening to people in the hall ways, and helping my friends, all i hear is the same bull shit over and over again. "My boy/girlfriend is cheating on me," "He told me he loved me," "My moms a bitch," "My dads a prick," "Everyone is pissing me off." Reality check.. As teenagers, we dont know what we want. We do know however that our hormones are out of whack and guys and girls will cheat. There is no "I love you" as a teenager either. I mean, 3 minutes after a couple starts dating, the words "I love you" come up. How can you love someone that you JUST started dating?? Whatever. Yea, parents are going to be the biggest pain in your ass, and thats never going to change. Sorry! And the world wont stop pissing you off either. It dosnt matter what you do, your going to run into disapoinments in your life. Your boy/girlfriends, parents, friends, jobs -life in general- is a disapointment. Your born, you do as much as you can, and then you die. Why sit around and complain about all the bull shit you get out of life? Get out, do something good, and look at whatever it was that you did. Dont look at the bad, look at what making life good.
So is the future worth living for? Thats up to you, but no matter what the hell you do, your in for more disapoinments. Live, die, do what you want, but why disapoint yourself? Prove something to yourself, and everyone eles that life isnt a comlete disapointment. Change the world, or sit on your ass. Whatever it takes to prove to yourself that what you are doing in life is what you want to do. Not what society tells you, or your parents, but what you want. Thats something worth living for right there, doing whatever the hell you want to do!
