[There's a long pause while Sparrow is stares at the device and figures out that it might be broadcasting. Finally, not seeing any better options, Sparrow speaks again, trying to mask confusion and fear with flippancy.

I don't know! I mean, I was being kidnapped, but I have no idea what's been going on.

Kidnapped? Before you came to the City?

If you didn't get the handcuffs for a criminal act, we can probably get them off, unless someone's done that already?

Yeah. [There's a short pause as Sparrow considers explaining, but doesn't see a reason.] Interesting timing.

Who's 'we'? But it's fine, I found help.

[And there's an equally short pause in which Cameron tries to figure out that pause and then decides not to push.] Interesting is certainly one way to describe this place, timing included.

If there's one upside to that, maybe learning the ins and outs will keep me busy enough to keep me from completely freaking out.

Most people have at least a minor freak-out when coming here, sooner or later.

That's not surprising. I think I'm in shock. This is probably what being in shock feels like.
