Good evening, friends.  Sentimental sap that I am, I felt compelled to give you something to read.

Today was the sorting for the Chester Library book sale, which meant that not only did I get to hang out with a bunch of old ladies and show off my tremendous strength and ingenuity, but  also take as many free books as I want!  You tend to get all sorts of interesting and varied choices at these things, almost anything you can imagine.  Usually, you can grab some interesting classics, any popular book from the previous few years, and some old random things, anything you can think off.  Last year, I managed to haul off a collections of Dickens' complete works, which was a simple jump for joy, and a great way to force me into loving him.  This year, I managed to bring myself to clear out a backpack and two paper shopping bags worth of books from my room, and only bring a pack back!  Most of those that left were from previous book sales that I realized I was never going to read.  The highlights of this haul were a few Bradbury collections and a copy of Joseph Campbell’s The Power of Myth, a really top notch volume which I essentially wrote a term paper out of in 8th grade.  I hope to come back to it with a more mature outlook and see if I can't learn something.

My mom and I tried out some Lady Gray tea we got in a mixed pack a bit ago.  We're enjoying it.

Tomorrow I plan to be at band day, but I fear I'll have to leave after a time.  My cousin is having her Bat mitzvah in DC Saturday, and my dad and I are stopping down.  Her father, my second uncle Scott, is a big alternate energy  buff and lobbyist, or something like that, so we'll have much to talk about.

I hope they have a computer at the hotel.  I'm trying to win something on EBay.  Everything always happens at once.  Enjoy the new Icon.
