oh my goodness!!! i soooo LOVE lj!!! hahahaha... just when i thought that i wouldnt want to blog anymore because last time, due to bad internet connection, i failed to post this following entry after spending half an hour typing it... now, as i am in the library, finished shelving and sitting at the counter waiting for someone to return or borrow books, i decided to give lj another try, and surpise surprise, i can restore the entry!!! huwahhh... this really makes my day!!! ;)
ps: jinquan, hope you are satisfied with this entry about perak... haha... for more details, pls contact the writer... ;P
Hm.. there are so many things i havent written in lj...
First of all, the Perak Trip, which was over sooo long ago... it was a very enjoyable experience, considering that this is my first time camping outside for more than one night. there are many many firsts: whitewater rafting, trekking such steep slope that made my feet tremble, caving, standing at the back of a trolley which has very unstable sides, meeting new friends, and LOTS more... ;)
The food was also nice!!! adeline is a great cook!!! hahahaha... i especially love the bread they served in the morning... it's like freshly made every day and the trip has taught me a new recipe... bread with peanut butter and put strawberry jam on top... whoa... now i must eat it every morning... (oh, and since i brought chocolate rice from indonesia, i MUST eat it with toast and margarine too every morning... haha... ;P). the hot milo combined with the cool air taste so nice... hehehehe....
The second module that i took was sign language and i must say, the lessons did get boring at some points but all in all, it was interesting in a way that i got to learn a lot about Deaf community and how to sign simple conversations... hope that i can remember it for some time... ;) and the instructor was actually a Deaf person, and she's very nice, making us feel bad if we didnt pay attention. i guess all the ppl in the class were nice ppl after all, coz you can see that most of the times, in this kind of class, ppl just tune off and talk to themselves and come back super late after lunch... but for this class, we paid real good attention and were very patient when the instructor typed everything she wanted to say, and we actually came back on time from lunch... ;) even the teacher in charge was so impressed that she gave each of us one packet of oreo... haha...
The physics nus camp was not too bad, but it could be better. i didnt understand some of the lectures and even mr chua said it was boring... hahahaha... see, teachers do feel the same way sometimes... ;P but there were some useful stuff like the experiments and some of the things they say during the lectures... they provide A LOT OF FOOD... we ate every 2 hours!!! gee, it seems that my holz has been and still is very fattening... ;( umm...but i think that nus was trying more to persuade us to get into their uni...
Watched x-men 3 and it was exciting!!! didnt watched the prequels but luckily i can still understand the storyline... watched it with 5 old friends after a pizza hut bday celebration and it was great to catch up with them... sadly, i will be the only one left in singapore by next week... hix... and the hostel is now quite deserted too.. anyway, my friend just told me yesterday that actually after the credits, there are still some scenes!!! gee!!! i didnt get to see that!!! haiz...
Peer tutoring yesterday was fun too... i got nice students to teach and they were angels as compared to some of the pupils there... ;P at least they responded, asked questions, and seemed willing to learn... there were 3 students i taught and they copied down every single thing i said!!! my goodness, just hope that i didnt say anything misleading!!! hahahaha.... some students are very rude to the teachers and i find it quite disturbing... ;( the school was very nice too... gonna print certs for us and even asked us to come down for reception this week... ;)
My holz seem so far from studying... ;(
