My, how time flies!
OK, OK, OK....I know it's been forever....like years :).
I faithfully read 2 journals, but I never seem to update my own. I have always known that journaling is a powerful tool to release stuff, but I never do it :).
So, I am now 45 years old and my boys are 17 and 20. Both have girlfriends and I am in a fairly new relationship (4 months). I went out on a triple date with my son's Saturday to see Pirates of the Carribean (sp?). That was a trip! Never in my motherhood years did I imagine that happening. My boys are so cool to hang with, though. They are funny, smart and energetic so we have a lot of fun together. Mike (20) is in Drama school and Nick (17) is just finishing up his Junior year of highschool. They both have jobs and cars, so life is so different from the days when I had control! This is natural, however. I realize that. They are flapping their young wings and are almost ready to take off.
So, the new relationship is going well. As you know from my last post, I was single for a good, solid year. Did some dating but never found anyone I was seriously interested in. A few "flings" here and there kept me going, but now I'm in love which is so much better. My "man" is from Peru, and since I love other cultures he is very intriguing to me. We share many of the same interests which includes music, drumming, cooking, working in the yard, etc. So far, so good!
