hello

i had never really reflected on the passion of christ that much, but after seeing the movie, i realize a little bit more of the importance of studying well and consciensualizing the tremendous sacrifice that Christ gave for us. its so hard to comprehend what actually happened. we scourged and crucified GOD. the magnitude of that is unimaginable. anyways, i recommend that all christians (and other faiths too) go see it because especially for christians, it leads to an awareness and a deeper connection with christ. yes, its just a film, but this film can be transferred to a form of worship. its important for all to see.

another thing that i drew from the movie was the prevalence of satan in the world. actually, the satan in the movie kind of scared me, lol. its important to be conscious of the very real and dangerous presence of satan in order to be "on guard" and remain within the protection of God. satan is very scary, but God will always defeat it. under His protection you cannot come under harm. you have to ask for this protection though.

i think this will be a very fruitful lenten season. i've never really paid that much attention to lent in the past, but starting today this ash wednesday i've felt a renewed dedication to following along with the tone of the season... purification and preparation for a deeper consecration to God. they told us to write down our resolution today, and i'm going to do just that. my resolution is to give up my habits of impurity. its going to be a long, hard road, but hopefully i'll make it.

since others have been talking about religion lately, myself included, i think i'll end with my two cents about it. religion is important to be chosen. i really didn't start living my catholic faith until i chose to be catholic. so to all those who feel bound by their parents and feel the need to break these bonds... here's the solution. choose to believe.

may all have a good night, and a fruitful lenten season.
