http://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/mccain10things Planned Parenthood has developed a list of 10 things every woman should know about John McCain. They are:
1. John McCain opposes equal pay legislation, saying it wouldn't "do anything to help the rights of women." <-----This smells of sexism. This isn't a the Middle East. What does he really think about his wife making more than him???
3. John McCain opposes comprehensive, medically accurate sex education.<-----um, the comprehensive sex education I had in PR (it is very fucking detailed compared to the shit here) is what led me to my decision about sex after HS. you know, just in case I got preggers.
4. John McCain opposes common sense funding to prevent unintended and teen pregnancies.<---knowledge is power...
5. John McCain opposes funding for public education about emergency contraception. <----is it that hard to understand that knowledge is power?
6. John McCain opposes restoring [funding for] family planning services for low-income women.<-----once again...LOW INCOME...in other words, they cannot afford it b/c minimum wage will eventually be $7.50/hr.
7. John McCain opposes Roe v. Wade and says it should be overturned. <-----I'm pretty conservative on this. I was happy when partial birth abortions were banned and i believe that babies can be adopted by people that want them. I also know that neither I, nor he, nor Obama or anybody should be judging what women do to themselves. That's between them and God.
8. John McCain wants to nominate Supreme Court justices who are "clones" of conservative Justices Alito and Roberts.<-----hello? variety is the spice of life, people :0)
9. When asked whether contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV, John McCain said he was "stumped."<-----typical man for you...LOL. He didn't have the sex education I did...LOL.
10. In his 25 years in Washington, DC, John McCain has voted against women's reproductive rights and privacy 125 times <-----ouch!!!! not a very progressive thinker.2. John McCain opposes requiring health insurance plans to cover prescription birth control. <----Do you really like to know how much it cost per month; $30-$40. Which isn't alot for people for some people, but for some middle class and lower income families...it's either starving or having another mouth to feed.
