Oh yes, I can definitely imagine the Winchesters having to do the odd moonlight flit or two. Fabulous characterisations. Sam, always with the questions, Dean being the good soldier. Interesting that John's initial comment could've been aimed at himself, but of course Dean assumes he's the one in the wrong.

I am very happy you enjoyed this! Your prompt was challenging because I didn't want to write the 'Sam making bad choices and regretting them' piece that this quote immediately calls to mind, so I had to get creative with the scenario, and it felt good to 'think outside the box!'

I think that when Sam mentioned it in the episode he'd forgotten how he ended up losing it and just remembered the fun of having it...at least I hope so...
