Love this! I am very proud to have been the catalyst. So we're emailing about the episode as folks are wont to do. And borgmama points out Dean's reaction to Crowley killing humans in a way that makes me 'get it'. And I say, don't just sit there ... write fanfiction, woman! The rest is history.
Bits I loved ...
This: “Nothin’ to tell, Sam. Went up to the twelfth floor, did the whole ‘let’s make a deal’ thing, got emphatically turned down and then Crowley bagged the fucker.” --- Is exactly how Dean would describe it. ;)
This: But his plans, his orders, had come from further down, hadn’t they.
And whatever it takes to get Lucifer back in his cage ... Sam would do it. --- Yes. The point of the entire episode. Sam's realization that all of it, ALL of it, every horrible thing in his life ... comes back to Lucifer. [Um, shivering now.]
Nicely done. This fits right into the episode. Good characterization for the voices. Your style fits the Supernatural tone. My only critique is that the POV switches make it a little difficult to follow, but I'll blame the lack of clarity on Past-Bedtime-Writing. ^_^
