I am depressed, not because of anything that happened in the final Harry Potter book, but because the series is over (I highly doubt there will be anything other than companion books akin to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them or Quidditch Through the Ages). I started around 10 as well. I've been reading the books since I was thirteen, and I have never done the midnight thing. Not really worth it.

I'm quite numb myself right now. I'm actually really glad it's done because the lead up has been horrible. Some of the reactions remind me why I sometimes can't stand the fandom or the literary crowd. Anyway, sour grapes. There goes eight years of my life.

Good ride for us both I think?

THERE IS ALWAYS MORE AND EXCITING AND FANTABULOUSNESS TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN LIFE!

And getting health insurance and paying rent and stuff is not all bad. I'M SURE. Isn't grocery shopping fun? I LOVE GROCERY SHOPPING. You can have dinner parties and live on your own. It'll be really cool.

I'm not sad (though I really wanted a hug yesterday). Today's a happy day (all I plan to do is buy groceries, actually) and I keep rereading the good parts.
