Note: if I'm not around much in the next few weeks, it'll be 'coz of uni. Sorry, but I actually kinda hope to pass this time round. I'll be keeping tabs on the flist when I can, but if I'm AWOL, you know why. Doesn't mean I love you any less!
The universe is sending me some weird signals. I think…I think it’s looking out for me? Originally, my essay was due on the 5th of May. So a few days before, I sat down to do some research, and I was all bleurgh, argh, FML- and then when I logged in to DSO (Deakin Studies Online), there was an announcement that we got an extension to the 9th! And of course, as soon as I found that out, I ditched studying for more enjoyable pursuits. *headdesk*
This past week, I kept meaning to start my essay. Every single day I found a reason not to- well, except for Thursday. That day I really was determined to do this thing, I had my laptop, I was going to the library where I would hopefully knuckle down and get to work as opposed to lounging on the couch, munching on junk and reading fanfic or watching my shows. The bus was in sight, I was nearly en route- then twenty seconds before it reached me, I got a text from Jacob with one word: ‘Busy?’ *facepalm* HOW CAN I SAY NO TO SOCIAL INTERACTION? I couldn’t turn him down! Yes, I was rather miffed that he chose to let me know twenty minutes before he came over, because I had to walk up and down a hill with my heavy laptop to get back home, but still!*
Friday…IDEK what happened, I just DGAF. So today, I started panicking majorly. ZOMG, DUE ON MONDAY, I’M GONNA DIIIIEEEEE. And then I logged into DSO-

THANK YOU, GOD VINCE. So…er…procrastinating once more rn. I hate myself. *facepalm* Sorry, universe, you're giving me all these chances and I'm just such a frak-up...
*My irritation was soothed by his offering of cheesecake- I shall forever associate Legend of the Seeker with cheesecake, lol! We’ve had five LotS get-togethers and each time, he’s bought cheesecake. OM NOM NOM.
The fun thing about watching LotS with Jacob is that he gets so into it, like, we’re both full-on shouting at the screen, ‘RICHARD, WHY ARE YOU SUCH A DUMBASS? KAHLAN, HOW ARE YOU SO COOL?’ And Jacob’s a total Denna fanboy, like, he’s utterly in love with her. ‘Why couldn’t Denna get the Boxes of Ordin? I would love to worship her! She’s twisted and evil and pretty!’ *g* Typical. Between nice, wholesome Kahlan and leather-clad dominatrix Denna, he goes for the latter. Can’t wait til Cara shows up…
But yeah, we have these passionate debates about who’s better- I’m all TEAM RAHL, and he’s like, ‘How are you attracted to him? He’s insane!’ and I scoff, ‘Well, Denna tortured Richard! No leg to stand on!’ and he goes, ‘But she brought him back to life, so it’s just kinky!’
Yeah, he ships Richard/Denna *facepalm*
Jacob: *flaily* Why don’t they give all three boxes to Denna? Then she’d be all-powerful and it’d be all so cool!
Denna: You’d rather I have the Boxes than Rahl.
Jacob: I would, I would!
Me: *skeptically* Why would she be better?
Jacob: Because she’s pretty. And she has feelings for Richard…she can get rid of Rahl for torturing her.
Me: She loves Rahl, she wouldn’t kill him.
Jacob: She loves Richard, too!
Me: *in disbelief* Judging you so hard right now…
Later on, Denna kills Richard’s mother. SOME MIGHT CALL THAT AN IMPEDIMENT TO A RELATIONSHIP. To a fanboy, however? Barely a blip on the radar.
Me: What do you think of her now?
Jacob: Yeah, well…I still like her.
Me: His mother!
Jacob: We didn’t know her very well and Denna’s so pretty!
Boys. Then again, er, Rahl’s the evil overlord who kills kittens and I have such a massive crush on him right now, so…can’t throw stones! But seriously, LOOK AT THIS GUY.
(yes, gratuitous Cara, because I can! What a gentleman he is, eyes on her face, lol)
PS. Er. This is a good example of my inability to STFU. Half this entry came from what was meant to be a short note I made at an asterisk. Oops?

Vidspam: OMGGGG. Okay, look, I was saying to someone just recently that I wasn’t going to bother looking up Craig Parker in any other shows because nothing, nothing could be as good as Darken Rahl. Sexy evil villain, once you’ve had that, there’s no going back. But…while his character in Diplomatic Immunity is kind of a pathetic chap, um, he’s shirtless. A lot. *brain!splodes*
ETA. I prob should’ve stopped watching after that- he dresses in a frakking sulu. My mind may never recover from this. Now when I see Rahl, I’m going to imagine him wearing brightly colored fabric with hibiscus patterns. *facepalm* YOU THINK I'M JOKING?
