I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, just for one reason or another, haven’t gotten to it before now! So without further ado, in no particular order, the Things That Have Made Me Happy Recently list:
Real life.
1) MY FATHER’S GONE FOR A WEEK, WOOHOO! He’s off on a business trip to the Middle East, flitting from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to other places I can’t spell. FREEDOOOOOM. ^_^ I am excite.
2) Netty and I went shopping on the weekend! It’s been the first time this year we’ve hung out, just her and me, and we had a fabulous time, hitting all the stores and trying on a bunch of clothes and having a fashion parade.
The part that made me flail about happily- Netty buying this gorgeous green dress for me! I reaaaally wanted it- amazingly flattering neckline that made me look like I have cleavage, yo, plus pockets! I love dresses with pockets! And it was very simple, normally I like dresses with pretty designs and patters, but this one was a solid green, only it was so elegant and I just loved it. But I was vacillating for ages ‘coz of the price…then she saved the day by getting it as an early birthday present- my b’day’s not til JULY, but she bought it and then gave it to me straight away. Best cousin ever or what?! *smooch* (Nets, if you’re reading this, hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your holiday! Keep me updated- you know where my spam post is!)
3) Getting stuff in the mail, woohoo! These shiny Slytherin badges from the generous mspixieriot. I've been wearing the first one out a lot lately! :D
And when I bemoaned the lack of Reese’s Pieces in my life? My wonderfully thoughtful friend, hoshinekoyasha, sent me a package with them, also including the crunchy, Smartie-like version as well, that I did not even know existed. AWESOME. I’ve finished the candy, but I’m savoring the anticipation of tearing into the bag, lol. The anticipation is so satisfying. ^_^
4) Snape in my bedroom, LOLOLOL. While Muke’s away, I’ve got mah Snape stand-up next to my bed
I DON’T KNOW HOW I’M GOING TO BEAR BEING PARTED FROM HIM AT THE END OF THE WEEK. I’ve quickly gotten used to coming home and being greeted by him, sight for sore eyes after a long day… :P Yes, I know my fangirly obsession is a bit scary, hush now…I know you're laughing at me rn, but IDEC. ^_^

2) An EPIC fic, both in quality and quantity, written for me by the amazing sleepysundays for the WB fic exchange.
The points were capped after about two thousand words, but people didn’t even have to write that much. Mah super sweet and dedicated bb? Wrote a whopping 9000+ words! I read it wrong, initially, I thought it was only 900 words and I was all, ‘Well, I’m sure it’s a great 900 words,’ and then when I clicked on the link and saw how long it was…! :D *flails*I could not believe someone went to all that effort for me! And lol, I was like,’ I must friend this person once the reveals are done!’ But lo and behold, that was already the case, hee. ^_^
The fic’s based on my prompt asking for Hermione’s Memory Charm on her parents to not have been removed as easily as she imagined, and needing Snape’s help to find a way to restore their memories. I favor those fics where the relationship develops slowly and naturally, rather than being fast-tracked into smut, and this totally hit all the right notes with the mentor/student dynamic and the gradual growing bond over time. Snape's as snarky as he ought to be, Hermione's growth and her changing perception of him is just lovely and overall, the execution of the prompt is just brilliant, more than what I could’ve hoped for, just-I know there are SSHG fans on my f-list, you really should go read this! SHOO. :P

3) MORGAUSE IS RETURNING TO MERLIN, MY LIFE IS COMPLETE.
I’m really looking forward to this- which is a huge error, considering the show’s habit of crushing my heart on a regular basis. O.o I swear, if she returns only to be killed off (like Elizabeth in SGA *stabs writers* WAIT, HAPPY THOUGHTS, UM, ILU, TORRI!)
4) The season finale of Madoka airs this week! I am both extremely hyper and also super wary. I know most of you will have no idea what this show is, but WISH FOR A HAPPY ENDING FOR MEEEE. Or at least an open-ended ending, as opposed to a ‘rip your heart out and grind it into the dirt’ finish. *quivers*
Btw. JS. If I was told I could have any wish granted, any wish at all, with no limitation, on the condition that I become a ‘magical girl’ and fight evil witches who’ve killed tons of people and who are highly likely to kill me sooner rather than later…well, isn’t it a bit obvious to say, ‘I wish witches had never existed’? Therefore, I will not die an untimely death at their hands (and for the few who do know the show, that other horrifying fate will not eventuate) and furthermore, all the people who were ever killed by them would be alive! Win/win! what I would not do is wish for cake. Or use it for a boy PS. I WANT ANOTHER SEASON OF MADOKA, PLEEEEEEAAAASE, TV GODS.
Vidspam: This is pretty spoilerific if you haven’t seen the show. But if you’re not likely to see it anyway, what’s the harm, right? Watch an awesome vid and admire the pretty! And if it happens to intrigue you to the point where you’re keen to watch it, all the better. >:D Seriously, it’s like Florence + the Machine wrote this song for Madoka, it’s eerily spot-on the whole way through. My favorite moment is Homura’s transformation at ‘I must become a lion-hearted girl, ready for a fight’. *flail* The whole vid’s so shiny and well-edited and just made of epic win! WATCH IIIIIIT. Please?
