RL: So one of the independents has backed Julia Gillard. ^_^ One down, three to go! She just needs two more, I think, to finally claim victory and be confirmed as PM! I just lol’d because Abbott’s people were so childish and attacked that independent over choosing her side, I mean, wow, what sore losers! *shakes head*
I’ll be happy if Gillard wins

but there was this mention that objects have a sort of.....limit to transfigurations?
like you can only transfigure one thing too many times before spell no longer affect it or it falls apart from being "modified" too many times?
and i get the impression that all the clothes the weasleys have are hand down from arthur bill to ron, and from molly to ginny till they cant be used anymore (that why they probably have patches and stuff because the clothes probably already are falling apart)
and they dont have enough money to buy new clothes for all the children till it becomes necesary or they dont have something that fits that (ex. molly probably bought ron dress robes because she probably didnt had any one to charm it into)
also i get the impression that with molly being a housewife (and therefore not having a high up career with lot of training in magic) and Arthur having not only a small-income desk job but also one that doesn't require really high advance level/knowledge of magic, their knowledge of magic is probably not very high (i'm not saying it's super low, i assume having to transfigure food or clothes cant be easy, nor breaking curses)
so because their magic is not as advanced and arthur is not in a high up job and they have 7 children, the money is not exactly contantly flowing.
also it's not for "no reason" that they get sympathy. there are a few reasons, but albeit not super strong ones.
