SAVE ME FROM THIS HELL.
I'd forgotten how much I loathed classroom settings. *stabs self*
The worst part is that it took us A WHOLE HOUR to get through TWO PAGES of the handout.Not even with densely-packed text!
But we kept getting side-tracked into topics with only peripheral relevance to the topic, and a multitude of examples to clarify the blindingly obvious- the difference between telephone interviews, one-on-one interviews, panel and group interviews...*headdeskwallfloor*
Then the other page outlined things they'd question us about- in point form: skills, qualifications and experience, short-and-long-term goals, work ethics and vales, etc. But then each one had to be explained, put into context, with examples from past history... *whimpers8 These things are self-evident, FFS! We don't need them explained, argh!
Thank god for the three to four cups of coffee I'm downing each day, I don't think I could make it through class without that to distract me.
I swear, our class would be half as long if a certain person- whose name starts with V- would just stop blathering on about her life, her son's experiences, her sister's experiences, her brother-in-law's cousin's grandmother's experiences...just on and on and on and ON, I DON'T CARE. If the teacher wants to say something, fine, KJ's lovely, but I don't give a damn about this other woman's family's life story. >:[ I just want to reach over and staple-gun her mouth shut so she can let the class get on with the bloody hand-out instead of pandering to her self-importance.
And the worst part? The one time, ONE TIME, that I wanted to actually contribute something to the discussion, something relevant, and I get spoken over and nobody pays me any notice at all. I just put my head down on my arms and tuned out after that, I was so frustrated.
Now I'm just making notes on this fic I want to write. [I'm sitting at the back of the class, so I can get away with it] I don't know if I'll get around to writing it up, but I'm actually planning, can you believe? I have an outline in the works, omg! Anything to take me mentally out of this place. *iz zen*
