Saw Race to Witch Mountain on the weekend with Netty. *wriggles* Thoroughly enjoyed it and I am totally getting it on dvd- or making someone buy it for me. :D

I'm not even pretending it has award-winning merit of any kind, but who cares? The movies that win Oscars are generally weepy and tragic and involve people suffering hardship and loss and ( Read more... )

OMG HI.
*spams randomly*
I wanna see this. Wonder if I can convince the family that my survival depends on hitting the theater...

Hey, if I can convince my jail guard parents to let me out in order to see this movie- this simple request necessitated a 'discussion', omfg- I'm pretty sure you can persuade yours. :D

Wait, seriously, your parents won't let you out to see a movie? I mean, it's not even like it's Watchmen or something, child-friendly PG Disney movie here!

Well they're paranoid. If I wanted to go to a theater, it'd have to be with one of them, and that would totally harsh my squee.
They're always quoting stuff about girls who get abducted and blah blah frakkin blah. It's not like everybody here gets kidnapped. Urgh.

*jaw drops*

Your- your parents are exactly like mine! Remember back when I was SUPPOSED to be going to Melbourne and mother was going to stalk me all across the city? [I still want to pull my hair out over not being able to go. *pouts*]

But seriously, it's freaky! My parents are always going on about how unsafe it is out there in the real world. I'm not allowed to go into my own backyard when they're not home, in case someone's lurking at just that moment and abducts me. And that's just ONE of the many paranoid rules they have in place to ensure I don't get preyed upon by the sick deviants that apparently roam our streets. *eyeroll*
