I also think that with Rumpel. His whole public persona is smoke and mirrors and shiny things to put everyone else off balance .
Indeed! I'm looking forward to the backstory, to when he's less accomplished and there are cracks in his facade and he's not perfect with his manipulations of others.
There is definitely more to Snow than appears on the surface. She schemes with such an innocent face. No wonder the Queen hates her when she can twist a situation all around while looking as though she would never consider being anything other than completely straight-foward and honest in her life.
THANK YOU FOR THIS. It seriously baffles me that when I read the comms, people don't register how clever she is and how she's always playing a situation to her advantage.
And you're so right, OF COURSE the Queen hates her for being able to scheme and look as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. Snow is succeeding at what she's tried to do, project one image while being something else, how DARE she? Especially as the Queen feels so wronged, like Snow destroyed her life, how galling to see her enemy being received as this paragon of virtue by one and all.
I am ready for her to be hit with some proof that shakes her certainty
See, I would like her to know what she's going up against, too, but the key word there is 'proof'. If she falls in line with Henry's agenda without questioning it, she loses all credibility with me. I know viewers want her to engage, to be proactive instead of reactive, but I'd like it to make sense instead of 'let's go to war over something I don't realistically believe in'.
I guess I want her to be fighting for the 'right' reasons if that makes any sense
I do get that, though. Her fighting blind is kind of an issue, she doesn't know the stakes, that Regina's fighting on a whole different level than she realizes. Maybe Graham's death will get her to step it up, we'll see. (I really wanna see that scene where she has to decide whether to save Regina or not, omg, that'll determine her stance on Regina's evilness)
