Lana is growing on me, though to be honest I think if she wasn't playing Regina I wouldn't have given the actress a second thought. She can come across as really ditzy sometimes (at least to me.) and I can be a giant intellectual snob.
*le gasp* I find it really neat how she's so regal and fierce in the show and then so light-hearted and giggly IRL! That dichotomy fascinates me. I just think it's funny when the actresses playing these elegant, self-contained characters turn out to be down-to-earth and like someone I could imagine hanging out and having fun with!
her rendition of one of my favorite all time characters is the best to date so I'm more then happy to jump on the LP band wagon.
AWESOME. The more people on the LP bandwagon, the better! :D
Yeah mine isn't so much caring about the relationship (I don't think the prince is interesting enough for her.) as wanting to see her get to lord it over Snow...
Ha! I love that streak of vindictive pleasure, what an excellent point! And man, you know she totally WOULD rub it in Snow's face... *g*
it helps that while I would probably love Snow, I would still hate MM who comes off to me as being like every pathetic rendition of Snow I've ever seen. Hmm so Snow's unhappy ending is to become like all the other Snow Whites that came before, why does that amuse me?
I don't have many strong feelings towards MM. She's just kind of bland and...yeah, I see her and Snow as totally different characters, tbh. I guess it makes sense that the curse would strip away all her confidence and toughness and make her meek and a pushover. And LMAO, yeah, now that you point it out, that is rather amusing, that her cursed state is to be like the Snow White of tradition, all passive and wishywashy. *snickers*
I hate MM/David... hypocrisy at it's best. WE the fans may know the truth but they sure don't, so from their pov she's sniffing around a married man and that married man is throwing himself at another woman... and yet I'm supposed to see it as sweet and the second coming of teh romance.
OMGYES, THANK YOU SO MUCH. See, from what I gather, people don't make a distinction between Storybrooke and Fairytale versions of characters, so because MM is really Snow and David is really Charming, there's no moral conflict there for the fans. Which I understand and I don't mind that, but as you pointed out, in-universe, those characters don't know who they really are, so being all hung up on each other is just WEIRD and CREEPY and WRONG.
I mean, when David was all 'you're the only thing that's real', I just...*facepalm* Sweet, when you think of it as Charming remembering Snow, but this is a man who is married to another woman, how does he feel it's okay to say that to a chick he just met? I do respect Mary for not volunteering at the hospital anymore, though, I like that she realizes her feelings were inappropriate and she needed to remove herself from that environment where she was faced with temptation.
Omg, the double-standards, I totally feel your pain. It's really annoying the way people talk about it, like she's this horrible manipulating harpy who's FORCING him to have sex with her, like he doesn't have a choice in it and she's using him. Um, if anything, it looks like they're mutually using each other? It comes off to me as though he slept his way to the sheriff's position, so don't ask me to feel sorry for him.
No worries, I'm always happy to listen to a rant. *hugs*
