I think people are disappointed because it seems like she gave in or ‘he won’ because she dealt, but I think it showed how sensible she is. He COULD have taken Ashley to court and at least pressed charges on the assault, even if he could never enforce the contract. That would mean that poor woman going through a lot of trouble, possibly being separated from her baby (‘Look, Your Honor, she knocked unconscious an upstanding member of the community, is she really a suitable caretaker?’) and having her reputation ruined.
I def think Emma did the best she could there.
I'm really bored with Terra Nova too. The only thing that could get me interested again would be if the Sixers end up being the actual good guys

I was going to say I love the female relationships on this show too. :D
I was really pleased to read the synopsis for an upcoming ep and find that some of the female characters are hanging out. I love that there is development of friendships between women and it’s not just lip-service, we see them get together!

Well, I don't necessarily want him to be the bad guy either. Maybe just misled by the government in the future or something whereas the Sixers know something he doesn't maybe? I don't know. Heh. What direction do you think they should go?
