I was under the impression that he was purposefully playing into her hands, because he mentioned imprisonment, and I kind of figured he had some alterior motive for getting captured. :3
Yeah, it does seem like it was his plan to get captured, right? Because if he knew she was pregnant when she wasn’t even showing, surely he’d be able to tell if it was twins or not. And if the contract is for him to make the crops fertile, surely he’d be able to tell if they were dying in the first place, right? So yeah, it must be that he planned it to happen that way- perhaps for no reason other than to amuse himself to see the consequences of her breaking their deal. He’s all about drama and chaos, lol.
it's interesting that you look at it as Graham's inevitable betrayal of Regina
Well, from his ignoring Regina’s hostility toward Emma to hire her and from spoilery pics, I pretty much am convinced that he is on Emma’s side. He even defied Regina in ep 2, well, no, he was willing to arrest Emma again, but he did disagree with Regina’s orders and said it wasn’t the best thing to do. It seems to me that he only is marginally on her side and would be willing to go against her if Emma asked.
I kind of imagined that he was working with Regina to betray Emma, or to get her into a position where they could use and manipulate her into looking like a bad person
I would really love if this were the case. I’m a whole-hearted Regina fangirl and it hurts me to think of her being all smug and confident she’s on top and has Graham in her corner, only to find he’s collaborating with her enemy. >_<
perhaps if we'd been given some background - who he was in fairytale land - I might be better equipped to figure out exactly who he is playing against whom.
There’s speculation he’s the Huntsman or whatever, given that he works for Regina but seems to have some sympathy/connection to Emma. That ties into my misgivings, since I do believe the Huntsman turned on the queen.
