A lot of times, I qualify statements with ‘this is so embarrassing, but…’ or ‘I’m kinda ashamed to say this’.But really? I don’t have to do that! I don’t need to justify my tastes, no matter how much I feel like I do. I’m sure most of you guys don’t judge me incessantly, or if you do side-eye me on something, well, it’s not the end of the world. We ( Read more... )

I just...I had such a huge groundswell of emotion, I didn't realize how invested I was in their relationship til I squeed and heart!sploded over this and now...now I'm kind of scared to keep reading because IDK if they'll end up together in the end or not! *quivers* WHY DO I CARE SO MUCH, OH, MY HEART.

Oh goodness, I was ridiculously invested in them from day one as well! I went into the fic like, "oh I wonder if she would end up with someone else that would be interesting!", but the way that Bella and Edward are written in this context-- with her actively imposing her own values on his behavior and enforcing her boundaries, with Edward needing her as much as he does, I was totally sold.

And don't worry, Bella/Edward is Luminosity/Radiance endgame otp.

How frakking AWESOME was she when she got kidnapped? I loved how that turned out! I mean, I thought her decisions meant that she wouldn't get kidnapped at all, but I loved how it happened here SO MUCH as I kept reading.

UGH UGH UGH YES. That was pretty much what I was thinking about when I said that-- she's still human, still vulnerable, but she's so smart and rational minded that she's able to work her way out of the tricky situation with the resources that she does have! IT IS. PRETTY GREAT. Like, that is the mark of a strong protagonist to me-- the ability to use their personal resources to change their situation to the better!

*(also, there was a part where she mocked what happened in the book and it was hilarious)

These are always the best. Pffthahah you need to get to the little snide remark about the name "Renesmee", it is pretty great.

Please tell me it has a happy ending?

Uhh. You're probably gonna want to read Radiance right after you finish Luminosity.

That one's got the happy ending. Luminosity is just the first part in a two-part series. (It is totally worth it though, like, COMPLETELY. You will be left wanting more, I promise you.)
