I didn't realize they were one and the same. To be fair, I haven't watched Kyle XY in at least three years.
That's okay then! I only watched it years ago, too, so...even though she looks the same, it doesn't mean we should've recognized her, 'coz she's from an old show. Pfft. :P
I actually thought she WAS the girl who played Xena.
LOL. Okay, that is so silly! *squishes you* Xena was much older! :P
One of the things I love about this movie is how well Thor himself develops from the start of the film, until it's conclusion.
Yes, this, exactly! I thought that was really well-done; we go from the adrenaline junkie goofing off (well, he thought it was for the good of Asgard or whatever, but it was a damn irresponsible thing to do) to someone who makes a weighty decision and sacrifice in order to do the right thing. That was- wow. *hugs him*
That cap with Sif and the Warriors Three when they find Thor? I lol'd. HARD.
SO ADORABLE. It's great having well-rounded warrior women! She can be a BAMF and be all giddy and girly, heh.
Darcy was awesome. *nods* The tasers were a part of it. And I want Leverage crossover fic with her Parker being quirky and bonding over their shared love of tasers.
Yesss, Darcy love! And OMG, I approve of this crossover idea! I totally see her and Parker hitting it off! :D I WANT.
I don't know if I want to ship her with Loki.
I went in already believing in the ship, lol, so that's why I was so easy to 'convince', I was predisposed to see it. It's things like when they have those confrontations, it's always Sif who addresses Loki directly, they gaze intensely into each other's eyes and it's like nobody else in the room even exists. He talks to her and then acknowledges the others as an after-thought. That kind of thing just makes people who are so inclined see it as proof that the two of them come first in each other's minds, y'know?
Also, at the end, Sif offers her condolences to the queen- who squeezes her arm sympathetically. That seems to suggest (again, for those who want to interpret it this way) that she knew Sif had a special connection to Loki and was offering comfort to her as well. There were undertones there, imo! :P
As for Odin's "no" to Loki... I saw it more as it as saying "No, you didn't have to." because he saw the motivation behind his sons actions? IDK.
That works for me. Even if I was like 'dude, can you reel your son up and then tell him it's okay and not to pull crazy stunts like that anymore?'
I did think it was kind of 'no, I couldn't allow you to, even if it was your attempt to prove how dedicated you are'. And then Loki was devastated and then 'screw you all, if you can't accept my efforts, if I'm no good here, I've had it.'
THESE WERE MY EXACT THOUGHTS ON THIS SCENE. *nods*
Yay! Always nice to know I'm in the right ballpark. ^_^
Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. >_<
