You win.

PS. Another parallel to D/V, y/y? The kissing in the first ep bit, that is, and especially that it's not all sweet.

The fact that she thinks he's ridiculous for all this macho protective stuff and that entire scene really, just cracks me up.

Roxton goes after her to try and help soothe her, be all, 'if you ever want to talk about it', because he doesn't know her well enough yet to realize that she's going to slam down her walls and freeze him out, 'I won't.'Yes, see that's what I'm finding interesting right now, the fact that in general guys are the once who are all, let's not talk and in this case it's slightly flip flopped (at least right now anyways ( ... )

Why, thank you, thank you. *bows* :D

OMG. I can't believe I didn't even consider the D/V parallels. *facepalm* I have to rewatch Prometheus Unbound again. It's my favorite ep for that whole season! *bounces* I wonder who made it super duper special? :D I pity the fools that didn't grasp how cool she is, and how she improved the show a million times over.

But yah, their kiss! I love Daniel's humor, I just adore how he becomes this witty, capable, confident, cool dude, rather than the geeky, gawky, bumbling archeologist he started out life as. And then I watched Farscape and I loved this scene even more because of its lighthearted J/A parallels!

Yes, see that's what I'm finding interesting right now, the fact that in general guys are the once who are all, let's not talk and in this case it's slightly flip flopped (at least right now anyways)*frowns* You're right. Weird. I never really thought about it, that's just how it was, but I like it! And really, it never could be any other way between them, with Marguerite and her secrets, he ( ... )

DUDE! *clings* I'm an addict as never there has been. It's been two days since I've been on LJ and it was KILLING ME, ZOMG. Like, I'm at the stage where I DREAM about posting on LJ and then I wake up to cold, bitter reality and there is no color or light in my life. :P Now that I'm here, all is good and right with my world again. *glomps*

I will say this though- Vala made that show live again. They needed somebody to shake things up and get them out of that slightly boring little rut they'd fallen into.

Yah, ITA. People disliked Vala either because she intruded on Carter's 'sole woman of SG-1' territory or because she interfered with their Daniel ships, neither of which is her fault. There is simply no rational explanation for hating her. I bet there are countless people who ONLY watched the last two seasons for her. In fact, season 9 is my least watched of the whole series because I'm like, 'Where's Vala? Season 10? 'k, I'm there'.

Ohh, Farscape. ♥Hee, Gigi turns up in a second season TLW ep! I usually only recognize actors from ( ... )

Holy cow, I get like that. I'll be talking to people on LJ in my sleep once I get into internet withdrawal. Ugh. I feel your pain. *squishes*

With SG-1, I don't really remember the episodes of season nine real well, because mostly I only remember the ones with Vala in them, which led to watching season ten excessively. Over on Gateworld, we'd have episode parties and then rewatch parties and we'd pick apart every little piece of interaction with them, hehe. Good times.

I'm going to be looking for Gigi when I get to season two then, and yes, with all the makeup it was a bit hard to recognize her. Virginia as well, but for some reason she was easier.

That puppet thing went on too long, we coulda lost a few minutes on that one to aid the cause*nods* While amusing, it wasn't nearly as funny as the Farscape. That scene was kinda what introduced my brother to Farscape, btw. I got to explain stuff to him. Also, earlier today he dropped something on his foot and felt the need to shout "Aww, son of a hazmot!" I cracked up ( ... )

Seriously, though, s9 is a BLUR. It was all really really boring til Vala showed up and rocked the house with her awesome. *luffs*

The only ep I remember other stuff happening is with Cam being beaten up over and over by the Jaffa, you know, being 'trained' by the brother of the warrior they killed? I love him running, running, running and then this invisible force whomps him out of nowhere. Hee!

I wish it'd gotten another season or two, and just cancelled SGA when it got sucky. *scowls ( ... )

Umm, yeah. I really don't remember even the Cam episode you mentioned *facepalm* I think I remember something of one where his memories got frakked with though, and some girl was dead or something? Idk. As adorable as Cam is, I couldn't bring myself to get too involved in his woobie-ness.

Dude, those episode parties sound fun! [Totally doing that for TLW, y/y?]

Y!/Y!/Y!

We must. It was a lot of fun doing it for D/V. And I'm pretty sure I might remember that person on the Sparky thread, I never hung out there as much because there was DRAMA. The D/V thread, for the longest time we prided ourselves on being drama free...

Your brother is all kinds of fun. :D I occasionally use 'frak' in RL when I'm about to use the f-word, but I couldn't use Farscape lingo, I'd feel too self-conscious, lol. He and I both watch too much scifi, that's a fact. When we got to our temporary abode yesterday, we both spent ( ... )

I liked that ep simply because they didn't even bother pretending to think that Cam may have actually murdered the woman, they guessed from the start his memories were tampered with and focused on proving that. Because after the Voyager ep where Tom Paris had the same thing happen, I'd've been bored out of my mind had they not gone down that path.

As adorable as Cam is, I couldn't bring myself to get too involved in his woobie-ness.

Lol, he's there for the funnies, not the woobies!

Stupid question- how do you make your comment so big? I'm sure it's simple, but I wanna know... *ears perk up*

on the Sparky thread, I never hung out there as much because there was DRAMA. The D/V thread, for the longest time we prided ourselves on being drama free...Congrats- seriously, there was SO MUCH DRAMA with the sparky thread, I have no idea why. We're all there because we love this couple, right? But fandom wank, it ( ... )

Well that's because Cam's got that sweet southern boy thing going on, and he's about as un!evil as they come, imo.

Lol, he's there for the funnies, not the woobies!

Exactly! Though if we're picking favorite characters I kinda like Crichton a bit better than Mitchell. They're both pretty good though.

And the code for font sizes is this <*font size*=*> just take out the stars, usually the font sizes are 2, 4 or 6.

But fandom wank, it infiltrates everywhere.

*nods* Eventually it got into the D/V thread, which is partly why I left. I got tired of dealing with it. The internet is my escape from real life drama, therefore I have no desire to deal with it there too.

Yeah, the room sharing isn't the best thing in the world, but I'm pretty good about not talking in my sleep, although I am totally paranoid about it. I keep worrying that I'm gonna start mumbling about my fandoms or something. Fortunately my brother's a heavy sleeper. Plus he talks plenty in his sleep.

*eyeroll* Our cumulative word count must be approaching thesis levels ( ... )

Idk, Crichton=Mitchell, pretty much. I mean, with less angst, but still, he didn't have to stretch much. Whereas Claudia did a 180 with Vala. *applauds*

The internet is my escape from real life drama, therefore I have no desire to deal with it there too.

*nodnod* ITA, that's my same philosophy for tv as well- apart from Farscape and BSG, which are exceptions to any rule, I avoid angst like the plague. Give me happy, bouncy, 'formulaic' shows like Stargate, TLW, House, The Mentalist, CM and so on any day.

*snorts* I have no discipline- you'd never catch me signing up for that 'daily writer' thing!

*gigglefit* Ahh. Oh well, I has a new favorite quote, courtesy of you and Roxton. :D

*squees* I'm all kinds of honored and amused right now. Me and Roxton. What a sentence, what a concept! *twirls*

True, yeah. The basic character wasn't all that different with Cam vs. John. *nod*

Farscape and BSG angst is kind of epic. It's painful, and yet you can't bring yourself to even contemplate not watching..

you'd never catch me signing up for that 'daily writer' thing!

It's more like a monthly thing, you set a goal for the month and then they have checkins each week and all with word counts and such. It's kinda fun. Though I only wrote 2800 of my 10,000 words for february because of sleeping part of the month. *stabs illness*

You and Roxton. :D

Hey, I woke up yesterday and I'd had TLW on the brain in my sleep, I was trying to tell my brother to look out for something [can't remember what.] and I ended up telling him to look out for raptors. =D

*ponders* How about Christmas in July? *bats eyelashes*

Hee, that always reminds me of The World is Not Enough. My first and favorite Bond movie, I don't care how much people hate Denise Richards, 'k?

Oh, and...did you check if you have a copy? The Meredith Brooks one, preferably, although I don't think Alanis tampered with the formula much. But the former would be better. Because you pushed me, I decided to put aside this other project I was working on- I'd hit a wall with it anyway, and it was making me tear my hair out with frustration, so it's probably a good time to take a break, lol- and I spent five hours on Bitch yesterday and four hours the day before. Of course, this is me, so all those hours don't mean I'm anywhere near even HALFWAY done, especially with that stupid excuse for a laptop that keeps freezing on me or shutting down WMM for no frelling reason and *headsplodes*. Grr. But I'm working with a copy of the song from an SGA fanvid, in which the vidder left some of the original sound effects and stuff, so unless you ( ... )

EEH. Running around packing and commenting to you in between, lol.

I have it all uploaded and shiny-fied for you, the link's in the other comment over on my journal, and vidding is much more fun than ripping your hair out. WMM is a pain for everybody, the key is saving your file almost obsessively. Every five minutes if possible, sometimes less, because it has a habit of jamming up laptops. [Mine nearly had a heart attack with the couple vids I made.]
And this bit with Ronon and Teyla making fight noises sounds absolutely hilarious, especially with M & R on the video xD

All they're good for is getting randomly inflamed and making lives miserable.

*nod* Me and one of my friends who has tonsilitis too have kinda come to the conclusion that they are both evil and wrong. Though apparently they do something for your immune system. [I wish I knew what, it might make me want to rip them out less.]
XD

Packing? You going somewhere again? *clings*

WMM is a pain for everybody, the key is saving your file almost obsessively.

Ahaha, so it's not just me. I save literally after EVERY change I make. Every little clip, every shuffle or new addition, *saves*. And it takes a few seconds to think about it, toys with making me freak out by 'not responding' and then resumes normal activity. SADIST. *glares*

And this bit with Ronon and Teyla making fight noises sounds absolutely hilarious, especially with M & R on the video xDHehe, it totally is, because you hear the clacking of the bantos rods and it's that scene where Teyla like, elbows and kicks and jumps to whack him from up high and he's utterly helpless against her onslaught. >:D But the scene is M stalking R and he's all *meep*. Ah, god. *wipes away tears ( ... )

We've gotta be out of the house for a couple days while there's painting and steamcleaning and other such things done. Grr. They're putting us in a two bedroom apartment so it looks like I'll be sleeping on a couch or a sofa bed.

And it takes a few seconds to think about it, toys with making me freak out by 'not responding' and then resumes normal activity.*nod* That is exactly what I went through with it. Stupid WMM is a stress headache waiting to happen. I keep telling myself that I should go looking for other software to use but I don't have the time for it lately anyways ( ... )

Oh, that's bloody inconvenient! But at least they're putting you up somewhere, I mean, you're not on the streets...and dude, I'm going to be packing up and moving out soon too- our house should be built by the end of this month or early next, if we're lucky!

I didn't get to do any work on it last night, there was some drama at home because I'm meeting Sapphy next week and the parents are all... O.O ...random person on the internet = possible sick perverted psychopath. *eyeroll* Ugh. They're holding me hostage over my exam results, can you believe? Hypocrites. 'Oh, no, dear, don't go because we're afraid we might lose you- but hey, if you get good results, sure, we're cool with the possibility of you being murdered!' >:l

You know, I was never a Spanky shipper but I liked it. I'd never read a fic solely for them, but I didn't mind Sparky fics with a bit of Spanky on the side, you know? It's like with TLW, I'm all about the M/R, but I like having N/V in the background as long as it's not hogging too much screentime ( ... )
