Oh, 52...
Well, Wizard's got a preview of Blue Beetle #7 featuring a flashback to Infinite Crisis. And you'll never guess who's suspiciously absent from the art! That's right, Booster! *Headdesk* Of course, he's mentioned in the dialogue, so I don't know why they chose to completely cut him out of the art... Blergh. Don't tell me the 52-embargo applies to flashbacks, too, that's just silly. Plus, I'd really like to see what Booster would look like in that style.
I bought 52 Week 19 today and I am so very much in love with Daniel now. Give him a good haircut and he'd be pretty much perfect. <3. I hope he gets rescued from that time loop soon. Well, he should be getting out by Week 24. (The Booster Gold origin back-up story. Waaaaaaant. Drawn by Dan Jurgens, so Booster will actually be pretty lilke he's supposed to be! Really waaaaaant, as the lack of insane amounts of pretty on Booster's part is one of my many, many complaints about 52 Booster.) Speaking of Week 24, the solicits have the line of "You don't really know me, but I'm a big fan and ...well...I wanted to invite you to ...to ...to join the new Justice League." Hmmm, Daniel has been shown to at least own and wear a JLA T-shirt, so he's presumably a fan... Of course, I could be totally off-base here, but it's a thought.
Hey, just wondering, but when the heck did they retcon Booster into being a janitor at the Space Museum instead of a security guard? And have they beaten up whoever had that less-than-stunning idea? I'm writing up a day-by-day summary of 52 going by the calendar date. Or, at least, that's what I'm trying to do. We'll see how long this lasts. I'm keeping track of holidays and stuff, too, which is proving to be of at least some interest. The Infinite Crisis Memorial service thingamabob falls on Peace Officer Memorial Day, which, I will admit, I had no idea existed, but it's very interesting. I wonder if it's a coincidence. I mean, that's some mad, crazy planning on DC's part if it's on purpose. :O
I am so lame. There was a thing about the Chinese zodiac in a magazine I borrowed from a friend, so I did the math and Booster's born in a year of the Tiger. I am so unspeakably lame and dorky.
