(I, for my part, totally find myself calling Booster "honey", not "baby". So maybe I'm not secretly you after all. Why I'm talking to Booster in my head as I read is another question entirely.)
I, too, have not yet read Watchmen. I tried once, but I didn't have the patience at the time. Now that I know that Nite-Owl is secretly Ted, I'm not sure I can read it since I think bad things happen. I'm kind of a sap like that. I still sniffle over Countdown/OMAC Project.
(Although mostly I sniffle over the Booster parts. I think there's something wrong with me.)
I have most of the DC Blue Beetle series from way back when, although I haven't gotten around to reading most of it (it came in the box with the BG stuff, so, yeah, you can guess how that went). I read the first issue and it didn't really have an origin, but I imagine there's one in there somewhere - I mean, BG didn't start with an origin either. I do recall Jarvis being in there, though. My scanner should come next week, I'll put that on the list of things. I can at least get you a few pics of Jarvis, although I may not do a real post for a while - it'd be somewhere in the backlog after a Jaime post and, like, three Booster posts. And someday I'll find my Dark Speedball comic...
