Spencer was glaring up at Brendon from the ground.
His glare said “you did this.”
“This is totally not my fault, SpencerSmith!” Bren stumbled back a few steps and tripped over the same pile of clothes that Spencer had. Brendon thought he should argue that the pile had some of Spencer’s clothes, too, so it wasn’t all Brendon’s fault.
“This is all your fault” Spencer’s glare said.
Brendon pouted. No one could resist the Brendon Urie pout. He had even used it to get a piggy back ride from Scary Bob that one time.
Spencer stood up and dusted himself off. He crossed his arms, cocked his hip, and glared.
“That is not going to work,” the glare said. And “it’s still your fault.”
Brendon licked his lips, widened his eyes, all big and shiny, and stared up at Spencer through his lashes. He bit his lip and tried to look apologetic and adorable.
“It is your fault…” Spencer’s glare wavered. “But, it’s not like i got hurt or anything…”
Brendon thought about cute things, baby seals and gloden retriever puppies and Patrick Stump, really really hard. He thought that maybe it was working.
Spencer’s glare slipped a little.
Bren looked down and played with his fingers, looked up again to see Spencer wavering. Spencer sighed, all long suffering, and extended a hand to help Brendon up.
“Come on, I’ll help you do the laundry,” Spencer said. Brendon grinned largely. He was sure that it must look stupid, but it didn’t really matter.
“I forgive you,” Spencer’s eyes say, and “I love you,” and “you’re such a dork.”
Brendon holds on tight to Spencer’s hand and feels warm inside.
SpencerSmith’s eyes, much like his hips, never lie.
