Okay... today I decided. I want to major in special education with a minor in studio art so that I can be a special ed art teacher... I got to work with Zymir today, an autistic 10 year old who doesn't have art or even special ed at his school. Thanks to the Eagles day coming up, he has been working after school at the Art Stars club run by David McShane, the mural artist for Eagles day. Working with him was moving and so enriching. His painting was emotional and astounding. I loved it and decided that I could do things like that everyday. We bonded over my limited knowledge of super hereos and the video games my brother (10) likes. I told him that he was my favorite artist and he was more than willing to get his picture taken (several times) and then show all his friends that I was his favorite intern.
