A weird discussion that I wrote

This is a conversation that I wrote between 2 fictional people (well three, if you count the person in italics). I know where it takes place, but I was wondering if you could figure it out. Go!

“But I thought you said you loved me”
“I did, but then it happened and I had to re-think the way in which I had said that”
“But didn’t what we have together mean anything whatsoever?”
“Of course it did. And still does! Just because I need to think things over does not change the way I feel about you. I just need space to think, to come to terms with myself.”
“Space? Is that what this is about? Space?”
“I though I had told you already.”
“Maybe you did, but I just didn’t hear it.”
“Should we be having this discussion here? It doesn’t seem right.”
“Where would you rather have it? On a bridge? In a fridge? Under the sky at Mission Ridge?”
“What are you talking about? And why are you speaking in rhyme?”
“It really doesn’t matter. I just did it to see if I could. And it seems I can. You still have not answered my question. So?”
“I really feel uncomfortable talking about this right now. Can we please just drop the subject until we leave this room?”
“I think that if we do that we will never bring it back up.”
“Maybe that is a chance that we have to take.”
“Will you two please shut up?”
“You see…this is not the time or place to have this conversation. Please just drop the topic and leave it be for now.”
“Fine. You have not got out of this discussion. I’ll take to you at the reception later.”
“Fine.”
