thought i'd update this since i haven't in ages and i'm officially rubbish at keeping in touch with people in the normal way!
things that are new:
*finally been made officially permanent in my job as of yesterday, brong on the pay rise and holiday pay!, and the extra of getting paid for bank holidays...4 day weekend, oh yes! i will officially be getting paid to lie in bed until lunchtime
*me and my sister have been DIY queens, fixing up our house ready for it's valuation on thursday
*as of thursday, our house should be on the market and awaiting any foolish moron...i mean, proud property investor to pay us lots of money for it (bet you our first offer is for a fiver...)
*we're hunting for a price promise on a mortgage, so i will be a boring grown up and going to loads of mortgage meetings for the next 2 weeks
*we're also flat-hunting for a flat to buy in leeds city centre, we have our eyes on a place near where i work
*we've been picking out an HDTV (supersize) to be able to get to put in our new house
and that's about it, should be getting the internet back on at some point this week, after i spent 2 hours on a premium rate phone call onto the idiots at NTL who have a braincell to share between them, seriously, these guys are worse than my company, and we're rubbish
i spoke to a brilliant guy today:
me: 'welcome to natwest stockbrokers, my name's verity, how can i help you?' (please refrain from laughing...i wouldn't blame you though, lets be honest)
man: 'i would like to book an appoinment for supervisor'
me: 'you want to what now?'
man: 'i want to book an appointment for the supervisor role'
me: 'erm, we just sell shares through here, you'd probably be better off going in branch for that one...'
man: 'but i want the job'
me: 'good luck with that, you can't get it through here though'
man: 'well where then?'
me: 'dunno, try somewhere other than the dealing line'
man: 'ok, bye'
2 minutes later:
jordan: 'welcome to natwest stockbrokers,
jordan speaking, how can i help you?'
man: 'want to book an appointment for supervisor position'
....people are stupid
