It's only really the names that Ryuk will find important. He's curious but....what difference does lifespan make to him here? once he's tested his Death Note on a nurse and discovered it doesn't work here... he just really doesn't care. So don't worry too much! Feel free to worry and IM me if your character is about to bump into Ryuk and you want to point things out. But...yeah. He won't DN on people.

1) Your character has died before arriving here.
SPECIAL CASES:
- Shinigami of the Bleach variety, vampires, and zombie-sorts fall also under this category. Any other similar undead also qualify.
- Nobodies and other once-human entities that DID NOT DIE in order to become whatever it is they are now do not qualify for this category. Uh, this probably also includes other sorts of vampires and shinigami, depending on the circumstances of their transformation. Comment to be on the safe side and we'll reach some kind of conclusion. (For the record, Nobodies name's show up as their, well, Nobody name. So Roxas would show up as Roxas and so on. Still alive Nobodies don't need to reply, in other words. |D;)
Light Ryuk won't see any name or lifespan in these cases, so FEEL HONORED.
2) Your character goes by a name that's different from their real one.
3) You've made up a real name, family name, or given name for you character if they don't have one in canon.
4) Language. What language/script is the name written in? Even if it's otherworldly, that's fine. Even if he doesn't recognise the script, he knows it's a name, he sees the face (potentially). He just might not be able to pronounce it. If the language canonly has similarities to earth languages feel free to let me know XD
5) Your character is some kind of weird spirit possessing someone else. This is a spirit type thing with it's own... sort of life, really. Not split personality or anything. THERE IS ONLY ONE OF YOU, RITSUKA, BB!
6) Your character is immortal.
I honestly don't know what would show up. Impossibly long lifespan or just nothing? We can discuss this.
7) You plan on killing off your character and your character is not already technically dead in their canon.
8) Your character is a reincarnation of something.
We can work out the effects and importance of this and...stuff.
