SOOOOOOOOOO...how have I been?
April 30, I went with my uncle and lola to Hollywood to get tickets to Universal Studios. It was around 3pm, so obviously, we wouldn't be going in that day. We got the "Buy a day, get 2008 free" promo. COOL! So, to kill time...and not waste the day over in Hollywood, we went to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I got some pictures with some "stars" on the ground...and with a Johnny Depp look-alike as Captain Jack Sparrow. He DID look like the real thing...but sadly, my uncle's camera battery died and it seemed like the US batteries were somehow not compatible with my camera...and sooooooo...well, I got one shot...but the guy's stupid gun covered HIS face...IDIOT! You'd think that he'd be used to it by now.
We saw a bunch of people crowding in front of the Kodak Theatre, what with the red carpet and all. We asked one of the guys manning one of the stands what was going on and he said, "it's the Grand Premier of Ironman". We were soooooo COOL! We set ourselves in front of the red carpet and one of the official ewans told us that we could stay right there. AND JUST WHEN IT WAS OPEN, they told us to step aside! We walked and stayed around...but it was FAR from the red carpet now.
We waited for two long hours just to watch celebriites arrive. So...we saw Stan Lee, of course, creator of the Ironman. That was big. Then, right in front of us...going along with the "regular" but oh-so-rich people who can afford to watch the movie in the Kodak, was Jon Voight. WHO is Jon Voight? He's the dad of Angelina Jolie...and he was eaten and spit back out by an anaconda in the movie, ANACONDA. HAHAHA!! And he talked to me...NAX! And later on...in his cool mini car na ewan, driving, was Robert Downey Jr, Ironman himself. HAAAAAAAY! Annoying that he crossed the street (away from where we were) and shook hands with the people on the other side...AND took a picture with a girl on the very end. I told my uncle, "That could have been us, you idiot!" HAHAHAHA! but that was okay. Still saw him. HE IS SHORTER in person.
That night at 11pm, we drove all the way to Bakersfield, 2 hours. AUGH! That was tiring. Strange how you're just sitting, and yet, you're tired. And mind you, that's 2 hours, WITHOUT TRAFFIC. I dunno how my uncle does it all the time...like, how he went to LA, to pick me up. That was another hour off! I hate road trips. That night, I watched Sleepless in Seattle, and was walked all over by EJ, the chihuahua. He used me as his bed, OK...............well, Uncle Ed did warn me.
Next day was gulung-gulong again. We left the house at 2pm, to go to the mall, to eat, etc...and went home at 10pm. I watched I Am Legend, and was walked all over by EJ again. HA! He kept me up until 2am just because he wasn't sleepy. And now, we're best friends...wa...ha...ha...proof of that is how he woke me up that morning by lying down next to me on the bed. Awwww...
THAT DAY, WE WERE GOING TO SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN!!! It was awesome! Tatsu is love and Deja Vu is cool too. Megan spit while riding Tatsu...the poor people down below. Augh! HAHAHAHAHA! Then we ate in Jollibee. Wow...I miss home. I missed Monica since she didn't get to come with us. Everytime I try to sleep, I think of Deja Vu and suddenly, I feel so sick to my stomach. Or not...my head just hurts. It got worse when we went to this fair outside of town. There were rides too. Kay-Kay and I rode the rides that made us sick...since we always went upside down...except for the free fall which was kinda corny since you only drop once.
Oh, adventure!! Same day as I came to stay over here at my cousins' house (since I'm often at my lola's), my other uncle came and brought another dog. His name's Mookie. First order of business, BATH! He seemed to like it. He loves running so we have to make sure he doesn't get out of the house. But...he did. So my cousins, aunt and uncle went out as a search party looking for the dog, and wow, could that dog run!!! Thank goodness, my uncle caught him. And he was punished in the garage...except at night or he'll wake everyone up. Cute dog though. When I couldn't sleep, I decided to go and read. He came with me and slept next to me until I was ready to sleep. Right now, as I type, he's on the stairs waiting for me to finish typing up this thing.
Today, we went to the mall. My first real time to be able to hang out with Monica, since she always has work or games or school. Shucks. Yeah, Kay-Kay and Megan who went with Six Flags with me, cut school. Busted! HAHA! So we watched Made of Honor. Predictable, but I don't think it would be that nice if the actor wasn't Patrick Dempsey. HAHAHA! Then we watched 27 Dresses. So nice! Ah lav it.
Well, my cousins are sleeping now coz they've got school tomorrow. This is what I hate about living in two different continents.
Dear Jessica and Kristine,
I'm going to Universal Studios soon, but since I have a 2008 pass, I'm willing to go again if you're willing to go to Hollywood. I ain't going to Sacramento, Jess. That's 100 or so (I don't remember) miles off Bakersfield and I don't wanna ride that far!=))
Love, Dana
