I hate it when a cd has special media content. I just put in The Two Towers soundtrack and instead of playing it went to the Lord Of The Rings website. Because of this, when I exited the site, windows media playa did not pop up, but instead reposed in some dark corner of the start menu. I was forced to search through the many dank corriders of "start" in search of the elusive playa, this was especially infuriating because the playa surfaces immeadiately for less refined cds. And now all of a sudden the playa has become even more resistant and fled, it seems to be no longer responding. I was looking forward to the orc theme song too. I just had to go to the site again. I've been looking forward to the orc theme since the red wood forest. Wednesday in San Francisco we went to Muir Woods. It was raining and the forest was soaked and beautiful, we spent a couple of hours wandering about. I was with Harlin and Elie, we were stomping about through mud and extroardinary vegetation of the sort dreamed about. At one point I looked towards my soaked shoe pounding into the mud at a fast pace, and was struck by the similarity between that and the stocking of an orc pounding the mud on the distant shores of a river in middle earth. This happens in a specific scene in the Fellowship Of The Rings near the end. I was taken with the similarity and decided that Harlin, Elie, and myself would jog through the redwood forest singing the orc theme song. We did this for near fifteen minutes, and thirty on and off. I was forced to stop when we ran into a deer and reverted to stealth. It's quite a good theme song to jog through a redwood forest too.
The trip was excellent overall. I was somewhat sick for the first few days, but it passed. The tea garden was probably my favorite part. I got "fives" from people while riding the trolleys. I was hanging onto the side and held out my hand as a passing trolley went by.
